Rally Tyro 2 Pro Pickleball Paddle (Single Paddle - Fire Orange)

Grip size is perfect, thanks to measurements, and followed advice about weight for arthritic joints, which also seems spot on. I chose this on sale as a beginner based on having balanced features that can help me develop skills, and so far it seems to be everything I need.

I'm fairly new to pickle ball and have been using wood paddles until this purchase. The Rally Tyro 2 Pro Paddle is a huge step up from those. I really agree with the paddle description that shots go off the paddle with a real "pop". Grip feels nice and is just about the size I measured for my hand. Bought this model based upon seeing and playing with my friend's Rally Tyro 2 Pro Paddle.

I got this paddle as a loaner from someone when my paddle broke, and I thought it was pretty darned good. I went online to buy one, and couldn't believe how inexpensive it way. This thing plays better than my last paddle that cost me twice as much. Good power, nice textured face imparts good spin, and the sweet spot is good sized. I've played both indoors with an onix ball and outdoor with a dura, and the paddle plays wonderful in both situations. Highly recommend - a sleeper steal!

This paddle totally surprised me for the price. The sweet spot is huge, the handle comfortable, and the control exceptional. I started using this during league play last week, and I instantly felt comfortable with it. There is a good texture to the face, and I'm putting a decent amount of spin on my serves. Mine weighs 7.7 oz, and it's got a neutral balance (not head heavy), so my volleying was comfortable. I feel like I have good hand speed with it. I have been doing a lot more cross court dinking recently, and I'm finding this paddle gives me confidence in my shot placement. I've given one to my best friend who also loves it.

We wanted to have spare paddles on hand for when we have company. The sale price on these made it a great consideration. We have only been playing for two winters and are not expert. Since we have gotten these paddles I have really enjoyed them. The grip is a bit larger than my previous and the weight a bit more but since we have received them I have not returned to using my previous paddle.

The tape wrapping the top of the grip at the face of the paddle seemed to be electrical tape with nothing to keep it from unraveling. I had to buy a $1 elastic band to prevent this. Rally should have already included this like other manufacturers do. The standard shipping was pretty quick.

The tips concerning how to size and pick the proper paddle were invaluable. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to get a great deal on a good starter paddle. Suggest you do your homework and read the info before buying. The paddle I got is great quality and only had to wait a little longer than I liked for delivery.

Tried the paddle for 3sessions,had a good feel but lacked the fine touch i was looking for. It had good sound and plenty of power but foound myself going back to my old paddle, have only used a graphite paddle so not sure if this composite paddle was the reason for my dislike. Returned paddle for another Rally graphite paddle.

On one side lengthwise the long ways you can see some of the honeycomb showing through the flat part not sure if it affects the play but you can see it only played with the paddle won so far would probably send it back but it took over a week to get here in a week back and I don't have anything to ship it back with so that would cost me but let me know if you could ship me a container and take care of the shipping I would rather have a new one. I bought two of the Tyro 2 paddles and within a year both paddles started to delaminate the top layer causing bubbles in the paddle surface. Before that the paddles played good. Pickleball Central customer service was great though. I sent them pictures and they sent me two new paddles immediately and then I sent back the defective paddles via their prepaid shipper. The Rally Tyro is their house brand so I will stick to name brand paddles going forward. I will continue to do business with Pickleball Central though.
