This product is a complete piece of garbage. I have been using an electric knife for filleting fish for 35 years and I have never come across such a poor product. This knife would not cut through the bone on a small bass and stuck when I was trying to separate the skin and fillet. I could not make the knife follow the backbone. I took it back and exchanged it for another one just like it. I just knew that this one had to be a fluke because Rapala would not endorse a bad product. The second one was as bad as the first. I took it back and I will NEVER BUY ANOTHER RAPALA KNIFE.

I bought this knife primarily for white bass and catfish and I have to say this is the worst knife I have ever owned. It has no power, the blades seem to seperate letting meat get between them and the blades are just plain dull or maybe that is part of the power problem making them seem dull. I tried to filet white bass from 8 inches long to around 15 and it didn't want to cut through the ribs of any of them and like the user above I had a heck of a time trying to guide the knife along the backbone as it seems to want to cut wavy for some reason. Order an American angler from here or elsewhere and get a good knife.
