Rapala Jointed 05 Jerkbait Silver Fluorescent Chartreuse

I did not get this for me, I got it for a friend who just got into fishing, but I have used these for years. The coloring for those who live in the northeast, is perfect for early spring because it mimics a shad fry and the hooks are good. from about late march to early may this is old reliable. My only complaint about it is every year I buy one and every year I loose it in a tree.

I love this jointed bait. I have had great success with this particular size, both in gold and silver. I do have to use smaller line to get good casts, and that has resulted in my losing several baits because of the size of the fish that bite it-they seem to love smaller baits, or maybe the thin line is less detectable, but I have lost several baits due to the light line. This is my go to when fishing-I've caught bream, bass, white perch, and carp on this bait.

I caught a decent trout the first time using this Rapala broken back lure in the fire tiger pattern. I trolled it 100 feet behind my kayak at 1.7 mph. Fish couldn't resist it and bam! Fish on!

The color and size are great for fishing lakes or ponds and has good action in the water but the price is a little high.

This is one of my favorite lures for catching Bass. I love the black and silver. It works great in the river I fish. The jointed action draws the fish to it. I also like the J-11 and J- 13.
