Razer Deathadder Elite Gaming Mouse

My toddlers broke the RGB on the white box mouse that came with my Ironside PC that I had made for me in 2020. I was looking around, especially at Razer products because I have one of their wired headsets that I like a lot. I saw this mouse on sale for a decent price and jumped on it. It has the same features as my old mouse. Two side buttons and on the fly DPI adjustment buttons along with your standard mouse configuration. The scroll wheel is notched and has very positive tactile feedback which I appreciate. The clicks are light but not so light that you will accidentally click when you don't mean to. The shape of the mouse fits my hand so much better than my old mouse and the rubber grips along the base of the mouse sit just under your fingertips and won't overheat your palm. I prefer wired accessories which this one has a fabric covering and once it relaxes after being out of the package moves around nicely and does not twist up too much. The RGB is nice and bright and is very pleasing. I haven't fully figured out the software to control the lighting yet but that's not a huge deal to me. I just like that it's there to make it easier to find the mouse when the lights are dimmed. The RGB in my case and on my desk just cycle through the spectrum anyway so the default for the mouse looks fine with my setup. I'm very interested in upgrading to the Black Widow V4 Pro wired keyboard but the price tag on it is just a little hard to swallow right now. I'm going to keep an eye out for sales with that model and have a nice matching set.

By registering through the software you activate your 2 year warranty with real time status of said warranty, and free online tech support. Who needs that though, with mechanical switches good for at least 50 millions clicks. Ok, I have to get back to my game, see you online with your new Razer Deathadder Elite...

Good product for the price

I am using this mouse with my laptop and it is great. I love watching all the pretty colors that flash by when it is plugged into the USB port. There was pink, purple, and blue, and many other colors. The mouse is a little larger than I was expecting, but it works and moves smoothly. I like that it is black and easy to clean. You will need to have Windows 7 or higher to use the mouse.

The Razer Deathadder Elite is a mouse for gamers, and it has many features that are useful. The mouse has good response time, and is comfortable to grip and use for long hours. The mouse allows customization when you pair it with the Razor Synapse application. This application allows full and detailed customization over the functions of the keys. This application also can pair up with other Razor products such as a keyboard, albeit the customization varies from product to product, but still retain similar features like lights and rebind ability. However as this product is a mouse it has limited lighting effects and lacks many of the neat features that a keyboard has in store. You can have lots of profiles that can be active when you are running certain applications. For an example you could have a profile only be active when you run your preferred web browser and have another profile active with other programs. Unfortunately you cannot have one profile linked to many different profiles, but you can have copy a profile with all its settings. In each profile you can customize the bindings of the different mouse buttons and set the DPI in each profile. You could have a profile for an FPS game @800 DPI, and a profile for a web browser @1200 DPI. You can also rebind the (default) DPI buttons to something such as changing the computer's system volume. Not only is there profiles, but some applications may have a Razor Synapse addon which is activated by default when that program is running, a good example is Overwatch which has a custom addon that runs when Overwatch is active and changes the color of the mouse's glow according the hero you are playing. The mouse has a comfortable place for you to put your thumb while gaming and has large (but flat) Mouse Button 4 and 5. Overall this product is of a good quality and the Synapse application is useful for having customized key binding for each profile, however is not as good as customizing the keyboard.

The Razer Deathadder Elite Gaming Mouse is an excellent mouse for everyday business applications, but it is an outstanding, out of this world gaming mouse. It has an ergonomic, claw like grip and fits my hands very comfortably. The changing and customizable light color affects enhance its actions and the rubber side grips help in holding it. However, when gaming, this mouse seems to be alive as it has quicker reaction time than others I have had. The reaction sensors, speed, and accuracy of weapon shots are much faster than others. I did not know what I was missing before I got this mouse. The emotion and interaction differences are like comparing 3D movies to silent movies. This mouse improves all gaming. Aside from this, I have found no mechanical or functional problems.

I received this product as a member of the walmart spark reviewer program. Similar to the razer ornata chroma keyboard, the razer death adder mouse is also pretty nice. the mouse is a gaming mouse so the asthetic design are quite detailed. the scroll roller and the logo on the mouse are the locations for the enhanced lighting effects installed on the product. the mouse is corded which is okay but a wireless connection would be better. I believe the corded connections are used to maintain a power source for the lighting effect that is not reliant on batteries. the mouse has decent ergonomic architecture but it still requires a slightly twisted wrist placement, so the ergonomics can be improved. it also has multiple buttons, four, in addition to the right and left clicks. there are two on the thumb side and two adjacent to the scroll wheel. the two adjacent to the scroll wheel control the sensitivity of the on scree movement arrow with regards to the movement of the mouse but it can be slightly annoying because its location makes it easy to accidentally press it, leading to unnecessary variations in arrow speed. Overall, the mouse is precise, efficient, and programable which are all positives that make this product a must have for those looking for a good responsive mouse.

razr driver seems a hassle, and unstable

I got this mouse mostly because my old mouse was getting erratic and hard to control. I am not a big time gamer, barely even a small time gamer. However, I thought a gaming mouse might be more accurate and controllable for everyday use. This has proven to be true. This mouse can be configured in the accompanying software to different settings. I am still “fine tuning” and experimenting with different settings. You can adjust the sensitivity level and configure the other buttons to suit yourself. The software is not real user friendly. The screen comes up about 9” wide by 6.5” high on my 22” monitor and does not have an enlarge button to make it bigger. At least I haven't found one. There are shrink, off, and back symbols on upper right, but no enlarge. The fonts are very small, but have enough contrast against the black background so they are not difficult to read. I can use the computer's magnifier if I need to see things larger. This is not a wireless mouse, but the cord is plenty long to reach around behind my monitor to plug in on the opposite side with about two feet of slack left over. The mouse is full size and has a logo on the top that lights up and changes to different colors, and the top of the scroll wheels changes color with the logo. Even if you are not heavy into gaming, this is a good mouse. I can't speak for how it is for heavy duty gaming.
