Battery

Lee May 1, 2026

I cannot speak to the battery life. We installed two 12v 10ah lithium LifeP04 batteries. we had to bypass the controller and hooked directly to the two batteries in series. Runds great and pretty fast. of course it has a 8 year old boy on it and not a 170 pound grown up. I like the scooter. Very well built and great quality. shipping was very very fast.

Solid Scooter

Cole May 20, 2026

This thing is solid. It lives up to it's 15mph and 40min run time. My daughter gets about an hour out of it. She weighs about 110. The lighter the rider, the longer the distance. You don't want to buy a scooter that has a maximum weight payload almost matching yours. You are going to have a poor experience.

Great purchase

Javonna June 10, 2016

My son is only 10 but because he weighs over 100lbs we decided to go with this one although it was recommended for 13 teen yrs +. It is fairly easy for him to ride and the kickstand is a definite plus. I Recommend buying a helmet though because it's pretty fast ( up to 15 miles per hr ).

Great Buy

LAdweller April 16, 2013

I purchased this for my 10 year old for his birthday. Was a little cautious at first because it was recommened for 12 and up but turned out to be perfect. Anything smaller would have been to little in a few months. Also, the price at walmart was around $40 cheaper than any where else. Have had bad experience with their shipping but this time it was three days early and in great shape.

Great for my 10 year old son

Karen31066 November 7, 2012

My son loves this. I was worried he wouldn't be old enough for it since age recommendation was 13+, but It was perfect for him. The E200 or e225 would've been too small and not fast enough for him. This is his first motorized scooter. I think the age recommendations are a little high for these, because I got my 8 year old the e150 and we have to return it for the e200.

So far so good

autumnbear April 20, 2020

We bought 2 of these scooters to help us survive social distancing with our 2 daughters 10 (75 Pounds) and age 12 ( 5'5” and 100 lbs) The girls absolutely love them. Our 12 year old is tall and we were worried it may be too short. Both can ride them comfortably. They are good looking and fast! Negative : only makes very wide turns and when going uphill you also have to “scoot”.

Zippy little ride

Annification February 3, 2017

My 10 year old thinks hes on a jet. Love this. We had bought a lesser product and it absolutely sucked! It was a miserable scooter thing that needed pushing to start. Soon as we got this things started looking up. His friends think it's the coolest. He blasts off and zips around while I walk the dog. We are very happy.

So far so good

Scooter1313 October 16, 2013

Set up was easy Bought as a gift for my 7 year old. Battery life is really good if you follow charging directions and always plug it in after use. This is a fast scooter for kids but will move a 200lb adult as well too. Overall he is happy and that makes me happy

Mixed thoughts

Mcmmm January 27, 2013

I am giving this 3 stars yet would recommend to a friend... probably just to confuse a would-be purchaser. I bought 3 of these for my kids. Two worked great. I purposely purchased from walmart in case I needed to return if there was a problem. And I purposely chose this brand because reviewers said that Razor had great customer service. One scooter did not work properly.. the handlebar would not stay tight. Razor said they would send me a new piece then said they wouldn't and that I should take in for service.. which I did (and it is heavy to get in and out of car). It was repaired and loosened up again within two rides. I called Razor and asked for a new one. Since it was after Christmas, the item was completely sold out. I searched stores and web sites for weeks... This was the child's big present and he wanted to ride it. Razor would not help me locate a replacement. They wasted a lot of my time (as happens with the "over seas" customer service that so many companies have started using, repeating the question and answering questions that I did not have). I had to purchase a different style (no seat) and again put the heavy broken one in and out of the car to return to Walmart. By the way, the second one even cost more. The scooters are nice and fun and built well, in general. They do go fast if there is a long street and it has time to pick up speed. We have a short cul-de-sac which is perfect because all of my kids are under the recommended age (which was a big, long decision for me). And it really is safer without the seat. I watch them to make sure they are ok, but really they are. They are all tall so they weigh a decent amount. I would not put a 40 pound kid on one, but 75-100 is good enough so it does not go out of control fast. (I am adding this part in my review because I looked everywhere for reviews on speed and age and couldn't find much. I always follow the recommended age. In this case, I think that getting the version for younger kids would be outgrown fairly quickly). In summary, generally this is a good purchase and you will definitely get the Christmas Morning WOW from kids. In making your decision, just do not put too much weight on the "great Razor customer service".

Walmart Stores are not the same as Walmart.com

Minianne December 27, 2013

Unfortunately, when the Razor e300 arrived on December 6th, I did not open the box to inspect the scooter. Instead, the box was not opened until Christmas morning and the response from my grandson was extremely disappointing. The Razor e300 electric scooter was a returned scooter. It was missing a part, scratched and we felt, had been used. Further disappointment came when I could not reorder a new one, because this particular scooter was no longer available online or in any local Walmart store. Yes, I had no trouble getting my money back, but to pay twice as much for this early ordered item after Christmas due to Walmart.com "Product no longer available" situation was disheartening. I take responsibility for not checking the merchandise upon arrival, but I feel Walmart.com should never have let this item leave their warehouse. I hesitate to place another order though this online store. Sincerely, Loss of confidence in Walmart.com.
