I purchased this for my 2 year old who's kinda on the big side and it is perfect for him. I have a 4 year old who has a razor and my 2 year old would always wanna ride it but would get frustrated when he would fall. It was very simple to put together and he really enjoys riding it. It's easy for him to stear and I like that when he is finished riding it...it stays in a up right position and isn't thrown on the ground.
My boys are 2 1/2 years old and on the taller side, but these razors were perfect for them. You do need to put some of the pieces together, but it was pretty simple.
The Razor Jr. Lil' Kick Scooter looks just as pictured. My twin 4 year old grandsons, jumped right on them and started using them. They had received regular razor scooters for their birthday but didn't have the balance. These scooters are great to teach them how to get them going, get both feet up and balance. I would recommend them for children 2 1/2 to 5.
I chose this one because it had one wheel in the front rather than 2. It is the perfect size for a 3 year old, but also works for my “off the charts” in height 5 year old. They play with them inside because they're small enough to not cause a lot of damage, and not nearly as heavy or destructive as the bigger, heavier, sharper, (but also still incredible for outside) original Razor scooters!
My 2 year old daughter loves this scooter. Her older brother has the blue one so we had to get her one. It was easy to put together she was riding in no time. The only thing I wish it did was fold.
grandsons love these. They were able to go a few feet almost immediately after they got them. Were easy to put together.
Purchased 6 scooters for my Preschool, it was pretty easy assembly once I got past the first one. I have to say it was hard coordinating the tools and swiveling parts. I appreciated how the factory tried to organize the parts for the assembly but it made it more work and extra tools form my tool box to unscrew the ends of a specific part. After two weeks of continues use by rough preschoolers, back wheels were already falling off. I recommend this product for one child with an occasion use. this product was very inexpensive, I got what I paid for.
No bolts or nuts came with it. Like my brother had to use his own. I'm not happy with that. It should of included all the parts and it didn't. I don't recommend for that reason. That's not good considering you need it to use it.
My 4 year old desperately wanted to ride this scooter but kept hitting her ankles on the protruding screws on the back wheels until her ankle bones were swollen, bruised and bleeding. Her 5 year old sister tried it out and had the same problem. I moved washers around and tightened the screws down all the way and they still stick out. Maybe older kids with longer legs can ride it. The quality is good but the design is bad. We will return for a scooter with two wheels in front. Total bummer.
Bought two of these for my two Grandsons, who are both 3 years old. The scooter board, which the kids put their feet on, is barely wide enough for the "balance" that this "beginning" scooter claims to have. The spot welds in the handle bars left slag inside where the steering column goes - could not install until I removed - took four hours to sand out by hand. Should have returned! Otherwise it is a fairly nice scooter for an older toddler . . . would recommend prospective buyers see both the "Huffy" and "Razor" brands before buying to weigh both the pros and cons . . .
