RCA 1080P Home Theater Projector, 5" LCD Panel, Open Optical Engine,450 ANSI Lumens, Black, RPJ167

This RCA projector is actually the nicest, sharpest and high resolution picture I've ever experienced from all 4 projectors I've owned. Definitely recommend this specific model. The colors are very vivid and rich. Works during the daytime as well. No need to be in total darkness to enjoy watching programs. Im getting rid of all my TVs and switching all my entertainment to this projector. It has changed my life.

I've been experimenting with these budget projectors for almost a year now. When I saw the advertised 450 ANSI Lumens I decided to jump. I was hoping this projector would be brighter than the Happrun projecter I purchased from Amazon for around $55, and it did not disappoint. It was noticeably brighter than the Happrun. Now, be sure to temper your expectations. These budget projectors are really best in a pretty dark room. When it's sunny outside you're not really going to be able to see the image. That being said, the RCA RPJ167 was definitely brighter than the other <$75 projects I've tried in the past year. I'd even go so far to say it's much more viewable during the day on a cloudy/overcast day than the others. All in all well worth it for the $65 tax price I paid on sale.

I had a few of these portable cheap projectors and this is by far the brightest and clearest. The lumens in the specs doesn't give it justice. It's that bright. The sound is also quite good for the size. The only thing is, that's it's drowned out by the fan. It very loud on this unit. But if you connect the sound to external speakers, it won't be an issue. Also the size is not as portable as I would like it to be. Either way, perfect for your backyard movie night.

Image quality was good and didn't get over heated for a 3 hr movie. Had to be a bit savvy setting up the right height / distance using props.

I first got the white rca model which has few more features but so so picture, returned and went with this model. Night and day difference, this unit bright enough to use in a day lit home around noonish for me as long as the suns not beating directly on a window I have zero window coverings and lots of windows so I was a bit surprised

I didn't know what to expect with this projector. I needed to buy a new one as my old RCA projector (a different model with Roku) went dull and spotty on me after 2 or so years. This one is quieter and much more vivid. Even in the daytime. So far so good.

LOUD Fan: The fan is very loud and annoying, so you have to crank up the internal speakers that much more. If you have a separate speaker system, it may work well. Chunky. It seems pretty hollow inside. Unusable bottom screw. The screw pitch is not your normal camera tripod screw. It's more narrow so you can't screw anything in unless you buy an adapter. Bright. You can still see well inside a room with a 800lm bulb on. But you can't adjust the brightness to go dimmer so good luck in dimly lit environments. I was hoping to dim the projector to lessen the fan noise. Some stuck white pixels. You won't notice unless you get a completely black image. Which is strange, a gray color should technically show the stuck pixels but they disappear unless the image is completely black. Minimum 5ft throw distance. If you go any closer, you can't focus. Great colors! I'm surprised how vibrant and how well this compares to my older LG LED projectors. 87 Watts without any streaming stick idle. 90 Watts when a Google TV is plugged in. No Frills. It has exactly all the functions you need nothing more nothing less. The flip and mirror options are features only high-end projectors do and this has it! In other words, you can hang this upside down or project this from the back or shine this through the mirror and you can still correct it.

Picture quality is good, but build quality lacks. I had scratched on the internal part of the lens that was affecting image. Also the geometricalpicture adjustments are super limited and it's hard to mount on the ceiling as it has oble one hole for bolt and not regular 4 or 3.

Ordered one and it was a returned unit that was scuffed, and had issues with the picture and fan. Returned it and received another USED one. The picture is actually very bright and clear, but the fan is a little loud. If Walmart is reselling returned items, they should be identified as used or refurbished.

The projector looks good and the image is bright. However, it crashes about once a week and needs to unplug power to reboot. After three month use, a large dark spot appears at bottom left. No worth the try.
