for the price, BTU performance (8000), low level of power consumption (~6.1 amps)and hopefully long life, so far well worth the money absolutely. I didn't even realize RCA was still in business !

It is a very nice air conditioner that was delivered several days early. Couldn't be more pleased.

This a/c really pumps out the cool air! It even cools off the rest of my house to a bearable level.

This thing is a work horse. Cools beautifully.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With summer starting in our region, it is absolutely necessary to have some type of cooling equipment in our home. This RCA 800btu window air conditioner has well surpassed our expectations! The air conditioner was easy to install in our bedroom window! Blows out ice cold air cools down our room rather quickly. The unit also has several fan speeds and an adjustable thermostat. The included remote is a nice touch so we don't have to get out of bed to turn it on and off and have it allows us to have all of the controls in the palm of our hand. The unit itself is much quieter than we expected and can watch tv at a comfortable volume level while the unit is on. We have not used the dehumidifier mode yet but we are glad it's an option. I would absolutely recommend this ac unit to any one looking to cool down!

Turns on at random for 5 seconds, hard to sleep! Otherwise works terrific!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was much needed for my son's room and came just in time with the heat and humidity the way it has been, since his other unit stopped working. He has a small room and this unit cooled it down pretty quickly. It does rattle just a bit, but that's easily taken care of by stuffing a couple cotton balls around the edges. It's nice that it has a remote so you don't have to get up to change the temperature or fan speed. And the auto setting is useful during the day when no one is home so it's not constantly running.

Don't put out enough air flow

This unit did not make it past 1 season of use. It was used June-August of 2023 - taken out and stored back in its box until last week (May 27th 2024). The unit fails to produce cold air when set to the “cold” or eco modes. It simply pushes out lukewarm air - Unfortunately Walmart is unable to assist since its past 90 days or purchase. I have contacted warranty claims since it's still within 1 year warranty- waiting for a reply.
