RCA 3-Device Bluetooth Rechargeable Streaming Remote Control

This is my 2nd remote of this kind. I fried my last one by dumping an entire glass of soda on it :( and didn't realize it for a long time. It is so easy to set up, takes just a few minutes to get fired up and working. A full charge lasts a long time, and I use my TV everyday, all day or night, lol, (the beauty of retirement)! I recommend it highly!

I absolutely love it! It has the remote finder which I have to use often as well as works on mutual tv's. Definitely worth every penny.

Easy to purchase and pick up!

I bought this remote because my kids kept losing the backs and batteries to several conventional remotes. I charged the remote fully before initial use. Setup requires downloading an app and connecting to Bluetooth. However, it was easy. The app shows what devices are paired and the battery percentage. It's kept a charge for two weeks so far and I'm pleased with my purchase.

This universal streaming rechargeable remote is absolutely amazing. It's very sleek and thin. It even has a feature to help you find your lost remote with an app. I also love that it's a long range so I can change the channel while I'm in the kitchen making dinner. It is definitely a must have. I would absolutely recommend this remote above all others.

Overall I like the remote, and it suites my pretty basic needs. However, when you try to use the included QR code to install the required app for setup, the app has not been updated to work on modern android versions and cannot be downloaded. I had to download the program as an .apk file, and install it manually as opposed to through the more secure play-store. Once I actually had it installed, connecting to bluetooth and setting up the remote for my TV and audio receiver was a breeze. If you are savvy enough to know how and where to download an .apk, then this will be a good choice; otherwise, steer clear.

No channel select buttons for use with cable box. Have to use the Guide function to select channel. Volume function only works in TV mode. Does not work in streaming mode.

Some. buttons did not work after pairing. notably, the power button did not do anything nor did the play/pause button. paired fine with Google TV Streamer but not useful of these buttons don't work.

This remote requires a bluetooth connection to a smartphone and a smartphone app for setup. Sadly, the app makes setup less than straightforward, at least the Google Play version. In fact, I gave up and returned the product. The 3 devices you can control are also not exactly what was expected. You can only control 1 TV or monitor and only 1 streaming device or dvd player. The 3rd device is reserved for a soundbar, so if you wanted to control multiple input devices, you are out of luck. I'll find something else that is, 1) sold by Walmart and 2) works as expected. ...had it been more obvious that this was not sold by Walmart, I would have looked at the details more closely before buying in the first place. This is not the first time that a product from an external vendor has fallen short of expected quality and rattled my confidence in online buying through the Walmart app. Almost every single such purchase I've made, usually unwittingly, has been a disappointment. Beware!
