RCA 50" (4K) UHD Smart LED TV (TC-LE50K-GO2401) Google TV

I have always been a fan of RCA products, and this one was a replacement for a 2019 model. The 2019 is still in use and was a 32"! I liked the ease of installation, I wasn't sure about the Google aspect as I'm not a fan of it the but it was easy!

Set up was fairly easy, not taking long to set up. We replaced a slightly larger RCA that we owned for probably 20. years so looking forward to another 20 years of trouble free viewing. Thank you RCA, we love that we. could buy from an American company. Instructions could be easier to read, maybe a larger darker font , appreciate that it was in black and white not yellow.

I cannot get the closed captions feature to work. I'm 40% deaf, so it's a waste of time trying to view and understand .

The picture is nice, easy setup since I skipped the smart stuff. Manual is very slim on details. Two negatives for me is it can't pull in nearly as many channels over the air as my other TVs do, and I can't zoom the picture while watching movies to get rid of the black bars. For me I don't really need the antennae and I don't watch many movies, other than that it's great so I am keeping it.

The tv is good, i have no fault with it except the speakers must be damaged some how. i can't understand what is being said. now on i will buy my tv's in the store.

The picture does not fit the screen regardless of the TV settings. Also, I have better sound quality on my Motorola cellphone. It sounds like kids talking through stringed tin cans. do not waste your money.

The reason I would not recommend this tv, is it is a smart tv, that I don't need, there is no internet at the tv location, so I don't need it. but I cannot buy what I need anymore, keep in mind if you are looking for a good smart tv, I'm sure this one would be fine. I just want a tv without the other crap. The only other problem I have is I have DirecTV and it has been 3 weeks or more and I still cannot get the DirecTV genie remote to work with the sound and on and off. I contacted DirecTV and they sent me a different remote and it still don't work for some reason. The model %23 for the tv is not on the DirecTV list. I am still trying to get it figured out, and I am at the point of sending tv back if it doesn't get solved. Other than that, it is a great tv, our last one was a RCA as well, it just wasn't a smart tv. I wanted just a regular tv, but cannot find anymore, which sucks. I don't need a smart tv, we should still have a choice, but we don't.

Sound quality is awful, it took me forever to find the sleep setting, picture quality is meh 10/10 would not buy again.
