Great for the kids in the backseat!

lovingthegrandbabies June 9, 2014

Bought this for our 2 1/2 year old granddaughter to watch on a long drive in the car. It works perfect as the way it's described. It never mentioned it played two different Dvd's at one time, so that wasn't expected and the brightness was fine during the day in my SUV. Love love love it!

Good product

Brandip81 February 21, 2014

Nice DVD player. Good sound and color. Also had long enough cords to hook up 1 screen behind driver seat and the other one on the back of the backseat for our rear facing car seat too.

Portermax123 August 22, 2014

Very good for playing movies in the car and travelling with kids. super easy to set up both the main screen and the second one as well that is connected with a USB cord. Highly recommend though wish the screens came with a travel case.

Awesome deal for the price

FredFreddySavage March 7, 2014

Works great, set up is a breeze, powers off one 12 V DC car plug, and attaches easily to the head rest. The only reason I knocked a star off is that it would be nice if it had a 3 minute battery so that we don't lose the spot on the DVD when we start up the van. The DC outlet powers off momentarily when we start up so despite being able to keep it going when we turn the van off, we lose the spot when we are ready to go again unless we leave the van on.

Kids LOVE IT!!

MamaChrissy January 20, 2014

Bought for Christmas a month ago. 7 & 9 year old kids and they think they are the coolest kids riding around with their movies playing. Each screen comes with a headphone jack so I can still listen to the radio. The sound is high enough to hear, but any background noise (like a heater on full blast) will reduce how well they hear it. Also another great reason for plug in headphones! Picture quality is surprisingly good. Just move the screens up or down on the back of the seat to your child's level. If it's too high, they won't see anything but a black screen and splashes of color and movement, like an older flat screen tv quality. Comes with remote, already has a cell battery installed. What is frustrating is if you turn the car off to pump gas and they are in the middle of a movie, it shuts off and when you turn it back on, it's at the beginning and you have to fast forward to your spot! Can get quite annoying if there are several stops. The only power plug goes into the car cigarette lighter. Would be king of nice to have a regular plug option totake the player indoors if need be. I bet there's some sort of adapter that can allow you to do that. But overall, we are very excited to have this and long trips are super fun now!!

Road trip necessity for young children

Denise July 16, 2021

This was very helpful to have on our road trip with the kids this summer as our rental did not have a DVD player. I would recommend this to anyone who has young children to use on long drives or road trips. The down side was the remote did not have volume button. Other than that it worked well for us.

You get what you pay for

coolangel48 December 15, 2013

They are good quality players, but they do not take bumps well. They skip when you hit a hard bump. My husband said, "You get what you pay for." The more expensive players have better skip controll.

Did not meet my expectations

Amadison2001 August 12, 2014

1st of all, let me start out by saying this product is cheaper in the store ($68 in store vs $80 online). I kept this dvd player for a week then returned it to the store. It did not play all of my daughter's DVDs.. The remote that comes with this player is useless. You have to put the remote within a few inches of the player in order for it to work. There is no volume knob on the dvd player itself so I had to use the 'useless remote' to adjust the volume (fyi - the volume button is not labeled on the remote). Also, the dvd player restarted the movie each time I restarted my vehicle.. I returned it to the store and got a Phillips dual dvd player instead.. It is absolutely wonder. It has volume controls on the side of the player and the movie resumes where it left off at when I restart my vehicle.

Keep looking...

BabyAMom December 10, 2013

I got this on Black Friday because of how cheap it was to replace our old phillips 9in dual screen that just went out. We used this for maybe 10 mins and it's already back in the box to return. It doesn't resume when the car shuts off. So if you use it while running errands that can be a problem. I guess if it was bought specifically for ONLY long trips then MAYBE it would be worth it. I also noticed that it started skipping on a brand new DVD too. Could be a finger print smudge or could be the unit. I don't care to investigate. Also the USB cord connecting the 2 screens is very short. So the only seat the main unit could be on is the driver which then makes it impossible for me to use the remote. (My kids are too young to use it themselves). The remote was one of my deciding factors on buying this one too. And last but not least, I was looking and I didn't see a volume control for the second screen. Some might not be bothered by this, as I wouldn't be if this were the only problem but it's the icing on the cake. Just too many things I dislike about this unit. I'm returning it and have already bought the phillips to replace my old one...
