RCA 9" Mobile Dual Screen DVD Player (DRC79982)

We just took our first trip with these players and they worked great! The volume works much better than our previous one! I love that it has a controller, but wish it had volume control on it but that's no buggy. The cord connecting both cords is perfect length for two forward facing children but I don't think its long enough to connect if one is forward facing and one is rear facing. But you could just buy a longer cord if that's something you need to work. I think its awesome that when it turns off and is turned back on it picks right back were it left off. Really really love that! We haven't experience any problems with skipping or DVDs not working. So over all really excited we got these players!

This purchase was to replace a dual RCA set that got damaged during a trip. We upgraded to the 9 inch screen and it is so nice. The remote for this model offers many options for setting up the DVD. The only drawback is that the power cord barely reaches to the power plug in an older vehicle (that does not have a power plug in the back seat area). But the kids were happy with their movies on a very long trip and love the pause feature and the individual earphone jacks. Happy with the repeat purchase of an RCA product.

I purchased these for a long road trip and the kids love them! My 2 and 4 year old get to watch their DVDs and then we are able to switch them to the back of the car and my 12 and 15 year old can watch their shows. We have a power outlet in the center console so the cord is able to reach to the back of our SUV. I think you would need a longer cord if you had to use a power outlet in the front of an SUV and trying to stretch it to a 3rd row. Everyone has their own headphones so this was helpful to keep the car quiet. It's also nice that the DVD player picks right back up at the point it was turned off. I read on other models that this was a problem with the DVD starting over every time they had to stop.

I bought this so my kids would have something to do on an eight hour drive to Disneyland. It worked better than I could have imagined. The only thing I heard from the back seat was "The movie's over". Since that was about bathroom stop time, it worked out great. We stopped for the bathroom, changed the disc and got another 2 hours down the road. No "Are we there yet?" or "I'm bored!". Best of all, no fights. I would recommend this for any family with kids going on a long drive. The hard part is the kids want me to hook it up just to go to the corner store now. Oh well, nothings perfect. It was easy to hook up, easy to use, and easy to see even when the sun was the brightest. A great product that made for a great trip. I can't wait for the next one.

Finally found a DVD player that doesn't skip with every bump in the road! Bought this for the grandkids to take on their 10 hr beach trip. It kept them all happy and their parent sane. :) I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews before deciding on a dual screen player. RCA had the best reviews of them all. I got the 2 yr warranty b/c I know how tough little ones can be on gadgets.

This is a great portable dvd player set. It was super easy to install and get going. My only "complaint" (and it is minor) is that there is no volume control on the remote. There are little volume buttons on the main unit. You can easily reach them from the front passenger seat if you know where they are, but if you are driving, make sure you set the volume before you get going! Regarding some of the other comments about it not holding your place in the movie if you turn it off... if you hit "STOP" before you turn it off, then it DOES remember where you left off when you start it up again. That is mentioned in the instruction manual, too, but I thought it's a good tip to point out here. We didn't have any issues with skipping or malfunctions of any kind. The screens are big enough for the kiddos to enjoy watching from their car seats in back, and the cables were plenty long for my car (Mazda CX-5). We used this over several days driving across a couple of states, and will happily be using it for any other road trips in the future.

I am on my third or fourth DVD player set over the last 8 years. Not because they are cheap, just because I have kids and they get broken. They play well. you have to play one movie on both screens. there is no option to play two different movies. The only thing I don't like is now with my newest set there used to be volume control on the side so I could turn the volume down but now the only way to turn the volume down is with the remote. I also feel like the screens scratch very easily but again with a protection plan you can get a new set. I always spend the extra $7 on the 2-year protection plan. It's well worth it because I have had to replace every set that I've owned. They get dropped, kicked, hot in the car..etc. I do recommend these DVD players!

We are just getting back from vacation and this product has worked really well. We also use it for just short trips around our community. The remote that comes with it is very handy when going down an interstate and the kids want the DVD player to start.... So far so good

We bought this to go on vacation with and it exceeded my expectations in all things, it was easy to set up, great picture, good sound and I like the way it sits behind the bucket seats in our Jeep. It also has individual jacks for headphones which was nice s for the kids to be able to watch and hear the movie while my wife and I enjoyed the car stereo.

The sound only worked on one of the screens. the other screen had no sound. contacted seller, no response. Also. after having it plugged in for a couple weeks it started producing a burning smell. Waste of money.
