RCA Digital Radio Alarm Clock with Large Numbers, RC551, RC551

What a great little clock radio! Received it yesterday, set the time and radio station! Even tried out the alarm and found it so easy to set everything up!! I'm glad my other clock radio stopped working! The clock is easier to read with the bigger numbers! I'm glad I found it online!! Awesome little clock radio!!!

I like this clock. It's a great size. My 11 year old can set it on her own, but I do miss the old clocks without LED lights. It's brighter than the older models.

So far so good. functions as it should. had a little bit of a hard time programming it but figured it out. my only complaint is its a lot smaller then i expected.

It works fine but the sound of the radio is vey tinny. It actually scares my cat! I suppose I should have maybe expected poor sound quality from such a small clock radio, but with today's technology, I would have hoped for better.

No AM radio! Got it for my boyfriend who listens to AM radio, and it doesn't come with AM radio! Would not recommend despite the fact that it is a good brand. Very disappointing!

The clock itself is nicely designed. The button layout/functionality is pretty intuitive. Quality of materials is commensurate with price. However, the back-up feature did not work. Used two brand new triple AAA batteries (verified on battery tester). Unplugged clock from outlet. Clock went off. When powered back up again -- had to reset from scratch.

This item was advertised as having a large clock and that is incorrect. The size is smaller than the clock that I had previously -- this clock should be considered as a very small clock.

THE BATTERIES ONLY ALLOW THE CLOCK TO REMEMBER THE TIME DURING A POWER FAILURE WHEN THE POWER RETURNS BUT WILL NOT PROVIDE ANY ALARM DURING THE POWER FAILURE OR SHOW ANY DISPLAY.

I thought buying a reputable brand (or what used to be considered reputable years ago) would solve my problem with finding a radio alarm clock that will actually last longer than one year. Boy was I wrong. Right out of the box this clock already failed when I realized the first morning that the snooze button does not work. It is combined with the “sleep” feature, but only works for that, not snooze.
