I did not expect it to work flawlessly. I figured I would still have occassional snow, missing content etc. But from the second I installed it, flawless picture on my 4k TV. Don't hesitate to buy this if your antenna is not doing a good job.
It does an amazing job boosting weak signal TV reception. Very helpful pulling in those further away over the air TV channels.
Even though it is inexpensive, this item does very well at bringing in a signal
This T.V. Antenna Pre-amplifier works very well. It is made well for the weather. I have been installing them for 12 years now, and works every time. I use to use Winegard, But they have a been going up in price way before inflation. Also I use to use Channel master and they too have been going up in price and the quality has been going down. Those 2 well known name brands use to be the house hold name, But they have been letting my customers down. So I took a risk and so far it has been one of the best changes I made. When I use to install the Channel Master/Wingard, They have been dead right out the box. No more quality control anymore. RCA wins by a long shot.
Works well for me. I have a 50ft run of cable between the antennas and the televisions. Without the amp I can only get a signal from the tower 20 miles away. With the amp I'm getting a good signal from the towers that are 40 and 80 miles away.
I thought it helped , but not sure now. Signal still goes in a out on all channels !
I dont know if it was the amplifier or antenna did not work for me
Power inserter specs states 12V but actual voltmeter test reads 9.1V. Not enough to power preamp. Explains all the negative reviews of defective preamp. Seems to be a quality control issue.
I live in Carterville Il. When I hooked this up I lost 2 channels and their subchannels. Worse than worthless.
It did not work straight from the box. Went from fair signal to no signal.
