If you're in the market for a tablet but on a budget, this is the way to go! Be mind when you purchase a table for $99 you won't have the same features or quality as a $500 iPad but saving $400 is also nice too. Pros: -Fast, really fast for the price -2 in 1 feature is amazing and is integrated really well. Most 2 in 1's are way more expensive. -Lollipop OS by Android is more than serviceable -Many inputs: HDMI, USB, headphones, micro SD (which can add up to 32 GB of memory) -The keyboard is great for typing and navigating and with the help of some free document apps, I can make Microsoft Office compatible Word, Excel, and Power Point documents. - All in all it is a very serviceable tablet. Now talking with the "Cons" most of them weren't major deal killers, they were mostly just product designs that allowed for a cheaper product. If you can't live without some of these features, then maybe you need to spend a few more bucks on a different tablet. Cons: - Its casing is made of a cheaper not as sturdy plastic. You can tell from holding that you shouldn't be rough with it, but at least cases are cheap. -The cameras (one forward facing and one in the back) are 2MP and are super low quality. They're good enough for a web cam or Skype call but that is about almost what they are limited to. -Speakers are ok -When you close the tablet + keyboard laptop style, it has about a half inch where they can open and close very easily and is loose. Which means if you're not careful you can clank the 2 together. Nothing to bad and they planned ahead and put little soft plastic stoppers to deaden the blow but you could still accidentally damage the tablet this way. All in all this tablet will give you great performance and great features for the price. If the given cost cutting drawbacks are something you can live with, and then you will be satisfied with your purchase. If not, then you should look for a more expensive tablet as this has incredible bang for its buck within its price range.
Bought My first RCA tablet at Walmart over a year ago for spouse who had trouble using smartphone, and android phone was too small! She loves it, uses it all the time. Lower Priced, But Great performance!! So, I bought one later, the same model updated, the Pro 10 II. Her's had a binder style keyboard folder. Mine is a clamshell style, and this one for her brother is the best!! and light, folding detachable tablet will turn around to fold standing or back flat against the keyboard, and thin, lightweight and lots of memory. RCA continues to impress me. Battery performance is pretty darn good on all three!!! I'm thinking of buying another one of these to upgrade hers.
This was even better than I had expected! Do NOT expect a high end, high quality material unit because it is not. The keyboard looks plastic-like because it is. The keys however are easy to type on and it does work just fine. The tablet portion however is unbelievably good. It is speedy, processes quickly and has a good size, good quality screen. I'm enjoying learning Chrome and it is a great weight for travel. It connected well to hotel wifi but I am currently running it off of my cell plan's Bluetooth. As long as my cell is relatively close, it has terrific speed while browsing or working. Again, don't expect a high quality feel but I have to say, for $80, this is a crazy good deal! Thanks RCA (and other reviewers)....GREAT JOB!!!
It was what I needed (larger viewing screen). The keyboard is very handy and I have not had any problems with it. Quick connect and disconnect. The battery lasts me a 2-3 days, but I only use it during commercials while watching TV. As others have noted, it's a little heavy, but that's to be expected considering it's size, the keyboard, and the capacity of the battery. I have no problem with it's size or weight. Overall, an excellent product for me.
Its really nice. Tablet fits in keyboard stand backwards to use as a holder. Perfect for on your lap while watching tv. Not big, heavy or bulky like a full size laptop. My 9 year old daughter has one and it goes all over the place with her. She loves it. I recommend it. I bought a second one, for myself in the evenings to play games on. Its great For that. Not a great PC for essays or any long typing though. Seems to throw off track as you type with the keyboard, the static from your hands interferes with the touch screen.
I like the 2 in 1. I have only had it a week, and the price was reduced $13 so I missed that. I am having trouble transferring data from my computer to the tablet. The micro usb to usb doesn't work for data. I am ordering a walmart usb to usb https://www.walmart.com/ip/15075017 for $3.35 to try that. Other reviews indicate that will work. It says it will only accept 32GB sd card - not true. I have a 128GB that works just fine. PNY 128GB microSD Memory Card with OTG Reader. https://www.walmart.com/ip/55125860. I have it in the card reader. It will not work in the micro port, but it does also work in the USB port so you could actually operate with an additional 2 128GB cards plus the original 32GB for a total of 288GB.
Overall not bad for the price. Only drawback is the weight. I found it heavy to hold table in one hand. Also, battery life only lasted 4 hours tops. I returned it because it I have arthritis in my hands and wrists so it was difficult for me to hold.
Looks just like photo, small, light, icon driven, I had bad time setting date and time, and figuring out how it works, but THERE IS AN ON-SCREEN MANUAL- use it, because it does not come with one in paper form. I plugged in a mouse because my thug fingers were not prepared for delicacy. EZ once you have directions...wi fi just flew on, feels like a laptop, only smaller. Micro sd slot- not too thrilled with that since I have to buy micros and adapters now, but other than that it is nice. I bought this as a loaner for a friend who has no computer, for an on-line class. Glad it had usb port- that is for sure! Hope to eventually separate and use top as video screen for my exercise bike and watch films while i cycle. Probably great for taking on trips . I am so glad it had that on screen manual or I would be teaching sailors some new swear words
The unit was good at first and seemed to work well, but after about a month, I plugged it in to charge it and it wouldn't charge. I tried multiple outlets, tried resetting even, but it never would start charging. I am sending it back for a replacement. Would prefer a refund.
This tablet would not turn on at all. Not sure if this is a random malfunction or if it is indicative of the product itself. I did contact customer service and they were helpful in trying to fix the problem but I was not able to get product up and running. I had to return the tablet for a refund.
