rds 34901014 fuel transfer tank & toolbox combo - 60 gal, model no. 71787

My transfer tank is phenomenal; it gave my truck a new look.

The product is as described. I installed it with a gravity flow kit, however I then put a valve and a low pressure pump in line so that I could refill while going down the road. I would definitely recommend this tank. It also fits under my soft tonneau cover.

I like the way it looks in the truck leaves enough bed space rather then an l tank and tool box The lid on the box is well reenforced so you can shut it from either side and both locks lock making it easy to shut I also like the pump sitting lower in the bed and not blocking the rear window.

The tank is perfect fit for its low profile and does not interfere when turning with my fifth wheel trailer

Delivered more quickly than expected. Arrived undamaged. Appears to be well built.

I recieved the fuel tank/ toolbox right on time and was pleased to see that it was well packaged for shipping and there was no damage to the tank/toolbox. One thing I really like about this model is that it sits low enough that the view out of the back is not obscured. It is also low enough that my fifth wheel is in no danger of hitting it. The unit is very well built and I believe is a bargin for the money. As a bonus, I get lots of comments on how good it looks on my truck!

Bought this tank/toolbox and installation was fairly easy, however the instructions with Install kit are confusing. Not to worry! The manufacturer was extremely helpful, and got me going in 5 minutes. Also gave me a tip for 2012 trucks with fuel consumption calculators. Don't open the fuel valve on the tank/box until the fuel guage on the dash shows below half tank. Somehow it fools the computer, and gives a continual accurate read till all of fuel in tank/box is gone. Slick. Highly recommend. Worth every penny. Allows me to shop for diesel fuel and results in 10 to 20 cent savings per gal. Won't take long to pay for tank/box!

THe integrity in construction was really good. Delivery was prompt and completely without incident. We work our equipment hard, and it's stood up to everything we've thrown at it, literally!

Best price out there, delivered to my door, beautiful diamond plate. What's not to like? Remeber to measure the distance to the wheel wells inside though - in case you don't have enough room. Looks good, does just what it's supposed to.

I've had this tank installed now for about 20K miles. I bought this particular model because I haul a fifth wheel trailer. Of necessity the tool box section is limited because of the tank's design to be completely within the bed of the truck which was a priority item with me. That said, the fuel transfer with the diesel kit for pickups works flawlessly. I can go up to 1000 miles now on a fill up which allows me to find stations with the cheapest fuel, or drive for two days without having to stop for fuel even pulling the trailer. My only complaint is the latching mechanism in the tool box section. There are times when things will slide and bind the mechanism. Or, if not placed right when putting items into the tool box you can interfere with the latches.
