This back pack is perfect as an emergency go bag! Many bags only have a ration bar so I love that this one includes higher quality food that has a 25-year shelf life so that you don't have to worry about replacing it often. I also appreciate it includes a stove and fuel for preparing the food and includes other essential items. The bag is very good quality and has plenty of room to include other necessary items.

I read a few articles online recommending this kit for emergency food. I purchased two since it was on clearance sale ( a lot cheaper than Home Depot). Quality kits and all advertised items were included (I checked). Shipping was relatively fast and it came well packaged.

It is a nice seemingly sturdy backpack with a lot of pockets. My only complaint is that the food items are not packaged as single servings which seems odd for an emergency kit that is designed for one person. If the food items all came in resealable packages that might be ok but they don't. It arrive when expected and was in good shape.

It is exactly what I have been looking for and on sale. I plan to get 3 more. The only thing I wish was different is that one of the meals be gluten/dairy free. Something basic like tuna or anything would help. Many gluten free items have a long shelf life so it seems it would be possible. The other items in the pack are great. I just plan to add hygiene items and will have the bag as complete as I like it.

It's a nice well built backpack, came in excellent condition, ordered 10-27-25 and it arrived today 10-29 -25. The food packages were all prepared in various dates in 2025 but. It's not much for a survival backpack if you tout the emergency water has a 5 year shelf life but you include water packages that were made 01-22 and expire 1-27( I'm paying for for it all to be fresh and have that 5 year shelf life. Also the water purification tablets that came in this backpack are garbage as they say expiration day 01-25. If the water and water purification tablets included would of been fresh I would recommend this and give star but old water and outdated purification tablets leads to a no recommendation at 2 star review

Bought this on sale knowing it was still over priced even at that, but figured would be a decent basic emergency bag to just keep in car for trips. Unfortunately it arrived stinking of rotten FISH, yes it smells like fish. And no the odor is not from the food (while the production date on the food is 2018-2019 it seems fine. The horrible smell seems to be coming from the bag itself. Trying to air it out so we can even leave it in the car. Overall. For around $40.00 -$55 this would be a ok deal. My opinion of the contents Everything except the food are dollars store items Band-Aids $1.00 Fire starter and matches $1.00 Reflective emergency blanket $.50 Tissue $.25 This toy feeling flashlight $1.00 Whistle $.1.00 Playing cards $.50 Emergency poncho $.50 Cup $.100 Thin dust mask $.50 (absolutely NOT a N95) No items other than food /water were included. (Missing?, Lost? , Ripped off? The food and emergency water while older seems to be a reasonable resource. Food/water pouches $30 Bag itself. $10 Conclusion. For around $40.00 -$55 this would be a ok deal. Otherwise just buy the items yourself and make up SEVERAL of these packs for the same price (and they wond smell like old fish and chemicals) If you use your own old book bags.
