Bought this for our living room which is narrow and long. We were looking for something sleek and not chunky, hence decided to go with electric rather than gas. Love this fireplace, receive compliments about it constantly. The fire appears quite real and there are several settings. You can also leave it on just for the " view" without the fan.

This fireplace is lovely. No damage, husband put together very easily with no complaints. This exact fireplace was out of stock on various sites. I signed up for in stock alerts everywhere. Walmart was the first to notify me and it shipped much faster than promised. I have a large open concept living area and was afraid it would look too small for the space. It did not disappoint! Very pleased with price, size and quality.

Love this product, beautiful and very realistic. However a few of the pieces came to me damaged.

This fireplace is perfect for those who don't want to pay a fortune to install a gas one. This made our family room cozy especially for Christmas. Gel cans can add up quickly but you don't always have to burn three at once. Overall, I love it, I can move it wherever I want and take it with me when I move...would recommend to anyone.

Honestly, it does what it says. I was looking for a larger fireplace unit viewing wise but found that the larger the unit, the larger the mantle. So this worked out. Interesting to note: the white trim is optional. You can stick with the mahogany or use the white/pearl option. We decided to go with mahogany.

It is definitely smaller than I thought it would be. Still looks great and would probably be more so in a sitting room or bedroom. The fact that is portable makes this a convenient piece of furniture.

This does not heat up to 1,000 sq ft like it says. It won't even heat up my living room. I'm very disappointed.

Wasted my money! It doesn't put out any more heat than a candle. Plus it raised my electric bill 200.00 dollars. Would send it back but don't know how.

We had high expectations for this fireplace, as it was twice to three times as much as the units at our local Home Depot and Wal-Mart. We picked this one as it was the most contemporary-looking electric fireplace we could find for a decent price. When we received the two packages, we unboxed the wood mantel first. Right away, the low quality was apparent and upon closer inspection we realized almost all the panels had nicks and scratches. Some had been covered up with a black marker and since the black paint had sort of a matte finish, the shiny marker was very visible and very ugly. We decided to put it together anyway, and then realized that we had been sent two left panels instead of a left and right. Before contacting Wayfair for a replacement mantel we decided to see if the electric firebox worked. We plugged it in and it made a beep (good sign) but when we aimed the remote at it (filled with fresh batteries that we had to supply) - nothing. Tried another new set of batteries and aimed the remote all over the place - still nothing. Wayfair's customer service was excellent and we received a credit on our account right away. UPS came to retrieve the boxes with no charge and no hassle. I would definitely buy something from the site again, though I hope next time it's much better quality!
