RealTruck BAKFlip Fibermax Hard Folding Tonneau Cover Fits 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma 5'1" Bed

I have been a huge supporter of Truck Hero / Real Truck products, I have to say this is by far my favorite cover. It's light weight but extremely durable which makes gaining access to my bed a breeze. You cant go wrong with anyone of their tops but this one in my opinion is the gold standard!

Fantastic hard cover. Easily a huge upgrade from vinyl and installation was a breeze. There is a fantastic video that walks you through step-by-step how to put it on, and it took under an hour. The ability for the cover to fold back in sections and still stay secure is a major plus. I love how the black gloss matched my paint very closely, and even my wife commented on how much better the truck looks. If you're gonna spend tens of thousands of dollars on your vehicle, then why not invest a little bit to keep the items in the back secure, while also looking great.

The install was far easier than the instructions indicated. It's obvious that the instructions weren't updated for the 2024 Ranger because it has parts that aren't listed on the instructions and it goes together easier once you figure it out. It fits well, though I'm not sure its entirely waterproof. Time will tell. The look is outstanding and all I had hoped for. We'll see if the rubber seals hold up to the weather any better than the leather of most covers. That will be the real test. It's not year one I'm concerned with, it's years three through five.

Hello … I purchased the BakFlip Fibermax Hard Folding Tonneau Cover because of its looks and functionality. I paid a fair price for it and believe I got what I paid for. Time will tell. I will say that while REAL TRUCK managed to ship it to my address, NO ONE (meaning the delivery agent) (FED EX or UPS) let me know that it was delivered. I live on the South side of my rectangular shaped apartment building. The only reason that I knew it had been delivered was because whoever did deliver it, stood it up against the outside of the building on the WEST SIDE ~ immediately in front of a MECHANICAL ENTRANCE ~ called a “Riser Room”. Furthermore, there was NO LABEL on the box ~ nor was there any means of VERIFYING that I was the ACTUAL OWNER. WHICHEVER DELIVERY COMPANY you retained to deliver the item to me gets a “F” for CUSTOMER SERVICE. I received NO NOTIFICATION via e-mail that it had been delivered. I only discovered it because my personal garage stall is also on the West Side of the BUILDING. … if someone had found it with NO LABEL on it and simply decided to STEAL IT, I would've been ULTRA PISSED ~ because I had made arrangements to have two guys do the installation in a location 150 miles away in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis / St. Paul. Luckily, I was able to find it ~ without someone stealing a $1,400 item. SHORT SUMMARY: GOOD PRODUCT ➕ “LOUSY” DELIVERY. Overall a C+.

Product looks great. Install a little more difficult but got through it.

New mounting rails, eh, fibermax is great, had the older aluminum/ mix top it warped, new Fibermax is far better

This is my fourth Bakflip, I really like the way they look

Installed on a 2019 F150 with a 6 1/2 ft bed without any problems. The latches nearest the tailgate needed to be adjusted so they'd latch correctly. I also added lock washers to the rail clamps and used Loctite on the screws that hold the cover retainer clamps.

This is my second BakFlip Tonneau. I had an MX4 on my Gen 3 Tacoma. I installed the MX4 with no problems however the new cover for the Gen 4. I hoped that install would be easier since you don't have to move the OEM rails. Using the instructions provided will not allow the rail to align correctly and the cover won't close at the tailgate and the header panel tonneau attachment clips can't be installed because the rail clip in in the same place on the rail that it needs to be attached. I had to find this by Googling "Install Problems". I basically had to install it a few times to finally get it level so it would close. I would update the instructions to state that the alternate install method is the preferred method and save folks alot of needless time and ire!
