Love Rebel Crickhopper Poppers so do fish on the second cast with my brand new one a bass ate it and broke my line!

The treble hook is extra grabby, will likely replace with single barb weedless hooks.

Take my word for it...I haven't caught anything on this lure YET, but I can tell you that it definitely brings the bass around...I almost had 2 fish on but wasn't paying attention and missed them! Fish this popper in the shade-BIG bass like the ones that hit mine just love it. Like I said, I can't say much more than that its a really good fish attractor because I have only owned it for a day and have not landed any fish on it. But big largemouth bass have made attempts at hitting it hard on-the-pause in the shade. Looks realistic, popper, only $4.66 at Walmart, and definite fish attractor.

I was fishig on the creek , not to far from home. When I found the crickhopper popper hung up in a bush . So I switched my rig and to my surprise it is by far the best lure I've ever used. Like the other reviews , it really does catch anything that swims. The sad thing is they are hard to find and when you do find them they don't have chrome , but the gold one works pretty darn good (8/17/15) academy sports thank you.

I started using one of the original crickhoppers years ago, so when I saw this I immediately bought it. While I still like the originial, IMO, this one is an improvement. It makes a bigger disturbance and stays on the surface. The first time I used it, I could swear I caught the same bass three times in three casts. You'd be surprised at how much insects can be a part of the diet of bass up to 3-4 lb., especially if they live in small waters and/or don't have to move very far to eat them. This lure also catches giant bluegill. But, unlike other grasshopper poppers that I've tried, it's too big for most bluegill to swallow, so there's no digging treble hooks out of their tiny throats.

Great piece to have in your tackle box, when nothing else works; the Crickhopper Popper does the trick! Caught 3 Carpie and 1 flathead in about 2 hours. I was really amazed how easy it was to use. I could really tell that the fish where instantly attracted and just kept working it till I hooked one.

I first saw the yellow version of this Hopper first about 2010 and it worked so well I have bought and lost six of them and just got two more today after not being able to find them in the stores for a few months man was I happy to see them on the shelf today. now just to get out there and but some smoke on the water.
