love this lure works evey time one of my number one fo to lures

This lure is a must for morning and evening fishing action. When fishing for smallmouth I use it all day in the spring and fall. Nothing beats the sight and sound of a bass nailing this top water bait. I just recently bought a replacement after fishing with the exact same lure for over two years. I only replaced it because I lost it to a monster fish.

This has been my go-to surface lure for more than a decade. It has great popping action spitting water in front when tugged, yet can be worked slowly and gently with a side to side swing. It is the most affordable type on the market and comes in several colors that work well for catching large mouth bass in lakes having bluegills or shad as forage. I mostly use the silver/black and 'ol bass colors. On the Original, I've caught bass up to nearly seven pounds. The only modifications I make is to replace the hooks with VMC sure set in-line trebles, using the version having dressed trebles for the tail hook. Also, it can be made virtually weedless for working over heavy weed cover by removing the middle treble and replacing the tail hook with a split shank double hook like the ones used in soft plastic frogs.

I still have not been skunked with this lure. I have a little lake here that is my favorite bass and crappie hole. Fish there quite often, and I love the action from this Rebel Popper! Almost as fun as fly fishing!

Man, I love this thing. Whenever I see bass jumping, I throw this lure and bass jump for it like crazy! This is seriously my go to lure for topwater bass fishing!
