Easy to keep in fridge or freezer, and AGS safe!
I do a lot of baking, and I always like to have a lot of yeast on hand. This does the trick. I keep a smaller jar of it on the fridge and keep the bag in the freezer and never have any problems with it. Also - I have alpha-gal syndrome, and this yeast has been safe for me!

Great value for the amount. If, however, you intend to use the yeast within a year. Yeast does die. Will last longer if you're able to vacuum seal it measurable amounts.

A TOP QUALITY PRODUCT , 2 POUNDS WILL LAST ME AT LEAST A YEAR IF I KEEP IT IN THE REFRIDGERATOR AND THE PRICE IS SO MUCH LOWER THAN ANYTHING I HAVE SEEN !!!

Red Star 2 lb package is the only way that I buy
ten cents yeast/1 lb loaf plus 50 cents flour/loaf equals about 75 cent loaf of bread. so at $12/ two lb yeast bag, it is just barely worth the effort to me to eat bread and make it myself. Affordable alternative to rice. purchased in Packets, yeast makes no sense to me. But in bulk it is ok.

My wife makes a lot of homemade bread and rolls. She uses it a lot and you can't beat the price we paid for it.

you should buy this and share with friends. yeast has to be used by a certain date. it comes in nicer packaging than they show here.

If you bake a lot, you can't beat the price and quality of this 2 pound bag.i store mine in the fridge and test it before I bake; it holds up easily for 6 months - that's about how long it takes me to burn through it. Red Star is good stuff.

great to buy if you bake alot
The yeast has worked well with all breads and doughs I've made recently, and turned out to be the best price per ounce. I would recommend to people who do a lot of baking.

HORRIBLE!!!!!!! Don't waste your time and money!!! I tried twice to place an order and never received my product! I am now in a fight to try to get my money back!!
