Love it to bake bread
I've tried all the other yeast I could find in store to bake my bread. Ths is my favorite one. Once open, stick it in the freezer and close it with an elastic band until your next use. All the other brands are going off once opened. Not this one

JUST YEAST NOTHING ELSE
I prefer to buy the packets because they are not cut with any other added ingredients , it's just yeast. If you are like me and looking for products that don't have unneces poisonous ingredients you can add this to your list. My dissappointment is that this product increased sary andprice is more than double the original $1.76 per packet to $3.78 per packet.

Not a Complete Order
Not sure if there was a limit for this Red Star Active Dry Yeast (2 pack) or not (nothing was stated in the description), but I ordered two (2 packs). I received only one (2) pack...with no explanation. When I contacted Overstock about getting the second (2) pack, I was told they were refunding the difference. It was nice to get the refund, but I would rather have gotten the yeast. All in all, it was very fairly nice transaction...just make sure you're getting what you paid for.

Infested my cabinet with drugstore beetles
Had a horrifying experience with the yeast. Yesterday, I went to use it and found that it was COVERED in drugstore beetles. Soooo hard to get rid of. Disgusting. And I know it was this because the bugs were crawling in it and it was the only new item in the cabinet. The picture attached is after I took everything out of the cabinet. Notice the eggs. I'm terrified.

Long Since Expired
The yeast expired in Oct. 2022. Today's date is 5-7-2023. There is simply no quality control on this product or this company (Smile and Save). I am surprised Walmart would be associated with them.

The sell-by date is Nov,2023 -it's now March 20/4
The problem isn't with the yeast which is very good, but it seems that items that are past their sell by date should be taken off the shelves.
