I bought this for my preschooler. They have outdoor playtime even when it's quite cold. This is a great waterproof option that keeps his head warm as well as his face and neck. Plus since it's all one piece it's easier to keep track of than a scarf and hat.

My 8-year-old kid loves his new hood, and wears it at every opportunity. The inside is comfortable and warm, and the outside is weather-proof. No more fighting with him to wear a scarf. He wears this balaclava without reminder (and sometimes, just for fun)!

This works for warmth, but my 7 year old complains that the material has a strange smell even after washing. Overall, it works to protect her from the cold, but she's not a fan of it.

The kids honesty hate how it fits. They are used to a different style and it seems too loose in some areas. But it holds up to the cold well when tucked into the jacket. Easy to clean and dries quickly.
