used it to hardwire my viofo a119 to my brand new 2026 trailblazer lt that didn't have the auto dimmng mirror. took like 15 min to install.

my vehicle fuse box diagram was the only install issue the kit worked just fine

I give it 4 stars because in most cars the display unit will not fit properly. It is not well thought design. If you can manage it under the dash then there would not be enough cable to reach the camera past the mirror. The display is also parallel with the box so if you glue it on the side the digits will be hard to read. Otherwise is a good product and I am glad they are producing it.

It works fine but is shorter than a previous model purchased . The longer version was better for my suv. This shorter one I had to for the small car but would have preferred the longer version.

What this hardwire kit does right: Works right out of the box with basically no setup, you plug it in to your OBD port and it powers on and works as expected. (I have a 2023 Chevy Trailblazer and I only wanted my dash cam on while I was driving, I wanted it to power down and not tax the battery when the vehicle is off. It works just like my previous hard wire kit that I had plugged into an ACC fuse.) The problem: The USB C cord from the voltage control box to the dash cam is way too short. To have it go from the far left side of the vehicle where the OBD connector is, around the edge of the windshield, to the dash cam and have it neatly tucked away and hidden from view is not possible without leaving the control box in the window where it will get baked by the sun. (The pin-out on the adapter that plugs into the OBD connector for my vehicle only works as ACC power, so why it has voltage protection when it will not work without the vehicle running confuses me..) I had to order a 3 foot USB C male to female extension cable to hide the cable and make it work, and it does work just fine with the extension. If the control box was closer to the OBD connector %26 the USB part of the cable longer, this would be a 5 star review.

packaging is nice.....will never know how it performs.....the unit it was bought to power, part of the same order, never arrived. BUY YOUR STUFF ELSEWHERE
