My daughter is wearing these shorts in the size extra extra large which is a size 18 in numerical sizing. There is a package of coordinating T-shirts as well. It is nice that she has both. And these are very economical basics to add to her wardrobe. These shorts do you have a nice wide waistband that has a functioning drawstring. They also have functioning pockets. The fabric of the shorts is a little thinner than I expected.

Thee shorts are so great, I really wish we had them for soccer season! They fit my daughter perfectly, she is wearing size extra small. My daughter is a very small 10-year-old and this is a size medium (7/8). This is on the smaller side of mediums, so I was surprised to see how big they are. They fit more like they are (8/10) Instead. As far as material, it is comfortable and the pockets are deep. The drawstring seems to be good quality as well. Unless your little one likes their shorts bigger I would definitely recommend sizing down.
