I love the elastic waistband. My toddler can take these off and put them on all by himself. The material is comfortable with no complaints from him and his skin stays dry no matter what he gets into. I really like these shorts. The backpack pocket actually makes them seem less casual than typical sport shorts. The color is more of an aqua or teal, not sure if the picture truly reflects that. Size 4T is a great option for my son now, 4 years old 36 pounds and 5T will be perfect next summer. Material is not too think but still feels breathable for warmer weather months

Overall they fit okay and I appreciated the functional drawstring waist. They are still slightly baggy. I recommend sizing down if your child is in between sizes. The material feels lightweight like an athletic material.
