[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use these black Princess shoes as my "go-to" outside shoes, and have done so for years. In fact, I have several pairs of "retired" shoes that I've used in a pinch while waiting for my new order to arrive. And, if the shoes are too worn out to re-use, I at least keep the shoelaces before I toss the shoes in the garbage. Winning your "#sweepstakes" prize would keep me in shoes for several years! I wonder if I could use "retired" shoes for indoor plants?
I have been purchasing these walking shoes for over 25 years. Loved them! The good review is for the now discontinued leather version. WHY has Reebok switched to inferior "synthetic leather"? Sadly, I am now one of thousands of customers who is looking elsewhere for comfortable walking shoes. BRING BACK THE LEATHER PRINCESS SHOES!!!
I buy several pairs of the Princess every year-a black for most days and a white for summer use. They are well-made, comfortable and plain enough to be used for everyday activities as well as casual events. Since they last more than one year I can rotate shoes for longer wear. They are always in style in my opinion!
I do a lot of walking so this shoe suits me. The reebok Princess lasts a long time. The wear indicators indicate when it's time to buy anothe pair. I currently have two pairs in my closet. I like the fact that this shoe is very basic in appearance but also very comfotable. I anticipate buying more of this type of shoe in the future.
Insoles wore out in about 3 months of 40hr/day walking at work. Soles wore smooth after 6 months. Uppers last well: 9-12 months before starting to separate/wear out. The sole is a good balence of thickness and flexibility. If you don't walk for a fulltime job, these could be great for you! The uppers last, so I often get more use from them as yardwork shoes.
A classic model that looks really good. Although not super comfortable at first, I'm sure they'll get better after some time. I've had a pair of Reebok's before (Freestyle HI) that were super soft and comfortable, but they were worn in and quite old. With these ones I had to go a half size up, because how narrow this model is compared to my previous pair. I'm sure I'll be happy in the end - leather will normally stretch out, but wouldn't recommend for a wider foot without trying it on first.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered these to replace my favorite pair of old Reeboks. These new ones were much lower quality - Low joint support, no shock absorbance, and more narrow than my old pair.
I've worn these shoes for about 30 yrs., 12 months of the year. They were like you were walking on air. Great instep, soft breathable leather, felt better than my indoor slippers. NOT anymore! Now they're crummy plastic shoes with no instep & fell like walking on concrete. I WON'T be buying these again until Reebok goes back to making them the way they use to. I'm not at all happy that I'm being forced to go in search of a comfortable shoe, whoever the manufacturer may be.
Bought a pair thinking they would be comfortable tied them up really tight but still got blisters on my heels. The Heel is very hard on these shoes and I cannot wear them so I have wasted my money and am very disspointed that they hurt my heels so much.
I loved these shoes and had worn them for years. I always had one pair of black and one of white. My black pair was getting worn looking, and when I was looking for a new pair, all of the stores had fake leather. I tried the website, and they only have the fake leather here too. Please make them in real leather again.
