Reese Carry Power U-Venture 48" Round Rooftop Cross Bars

I read previous reviews complaining that the screws stripped easily. Heeding that I was more careful than usual while installing. I think these bars are an outstanding value if you are careful. I will only have them on the vehicle about once a year so they will suit my purposes very well. If you need to leave them installed permanently or will need to install / reinstall several times a year I'm not sure how long they would hold up. Having said that, I still think the value for the money is well worth trying them out. I've seen a factory set that was only a little better in quality go for 3 times the price...

I was hesitant to purchase these cross bars due to the other reviews, but there weren't a lot of other options so I gave it a try. I am very glad I did because they have exceeded my expectations! They were very easy to install, and are of high quality. I installed them to use my new SportRack Cargo box and it worked perfectly. I have a 07 Hyundai Tucson for reference, but utilize the description measurements to see if they will work for your vehicle.

Bought these for use on a Volvo XC90 before a multi-state road trip. Cross bars were easy to install and remove when no longer in use. Used these cross bars with a Reese rainproof cargo bag and had no issues whatsoever. Would definitely recommend.

very good quality, quick shipping etc. Work very well. Being round they are, when installed, noisy (wind) at 65 MPH plus. I am going to slide them to the rear and see if that makes a difference. They were purchased to allow me to carry a kayak, and other large stuff, and they work great for that purpose.

Good solid bars that are thick enough and strong enough to carry plenty of weight if you mount them properly. But my girlfriend swears up and down that they reduce her gas mileage noticeable when on her SUV. Good thing they are pretty easily removed and re attached when needed.

Easy to install. Used to transport kayaks, a canoe, cargo boxes etc and it works well. Only problem is with the Allen wrench screws that tighten the actual bar - they strip immediately on first tighten, making it impossible to adjust ever again. I bought another set of these for another vehicle and immediately replaced the screws with Phillips head screws from HD for about two dollars - they work great and I will be able to adjust this thing in the future without a problem.

These bars seem to keep coming loose when driving on bumpy dirt roads. I had to re-tighten on a daily basis. They seem to stay tight on highway or freeway driving, but cannot handle a continuous bumpy road.

They didn't fit my 2015 Jeep Cherokee very well and I wasn't comfortable using them for my trip I had to return them.

I already had to replace all the screws in this product. I would have returned it, but I was out of state at the time when it broke. All of the allen screw heads stripped and I had to drill them out. The company should have used better quality screws, especially since it has to be removed while not in use.
