Customer Insights: Rated 4.55/5 from 20 reviews.
This works really well as a step. It's super solid and not flimsy like a lot of hitch steps out there. I absolutely recommend this one. I am using it with a 4 inch drop Reese hitch.
Just what we needed as my truck came from the factory raised. Be sure to purchase a locking pin as this is liable to walk off.
The trailer hitch ball is very durable. My husband put it on his truck. It was very easy to install and looks good.
Great little step, works well %26 looksnicw
Holds weight when stepping into it. Great for daily use for higher vehicles.
My husband installed easy enough, going to work for our ford f150-2014
I ordered one of these to install on a 9" adjustable drop ball mount with a Convert-A-Ball to make getting into the rear facing back seat of my HuntVe much easier. The vehicle is an electric UTV, like a golf cart with 4WD, aggressive tread tires and higher ground clearance for use in the woods. The rear deck is 4" above my 84-year-old knees. The Reese Tow %26 Go Hitch Step is just what I was looking for, quality material at a reasonable price. But, poor packaging. Like noted by other reviewers, it came missing one bolt and washer. I was happy enough with my purchase to order a second one to improve access to the cargo area of my '23 Chevy Suburban. It came today, missing two bolts, a nut and three washers. For me to get some 1" - 1/4 - 20 bolts with washers and locking nuts is not a big deal but they were supposed to be included. The nuts do have to be the right size to fit into the depressions provided for them in the casting. The pieces would have been missing at the time of repackaging for shipment, as there is no way they could have gotten out of thatScrew Loose packaging. The problem is evident. The bolts had been temporarily assembled in their intended location with packing tape holding only the nuts. Those bolts that were not threaded deeply enough into the nuts, along with their washers, would be free to fall out of the big hole cut out of the original package that was probably intended to allow a prospective buyer to admire the nice diamond tread surface. I don't blame Walmart or FedEx. I will be calling the 800 number on the packages. The third photo shows the opening in the original package and the hardware I have left from two steps after installing only one.
With the height of the back of my old F250 it was risky using the ball of my drop hitch as a stepping point. The Reese Tow %26 Go Hitch Step is a great way to get that step up to the back of my truck. Without having to have a separate dedicated device. And still works well with a trailer hooked up. Had previously considered getting when I had my prior F150, but it just didn't ride as high. I Still bumping a shin into the tailgate but that is my problem. And yes I have a hitch extension for when the tailgate is open. And also when using my receiver cargo rack. Gripes: Was missing a stainless bolt and washer when received. Other bolts were loose in the nylon-locked nuts that were taped to bottom. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars instead of 4.
Good hitch step. The fit is variable for tow ball sizes. Good design, but not meant to be used as towing support.
The product was a great idea, but 1 bolt and nut were missing from package
