REFLECTIVE SCARECROW RIBBON

Tape is similar to products sold by other manufacturers. Somewhat effective in stopping damage caused by birds to our fruit trees and raspberry plants. Withstands wind and sun for the short trial (one week) that it has been deployed. The instructions tell you to deploy the tape prior to fruit ripening to prevent the birds from becoming conditioned to the food source. Some birds are deterred but others ignore the tape. Still looking for a solution that better protects our harvest. Only gripe is that the online ordering information on the Walmart web site indicated that the purchase contained twelve roles. Phtttt! If an offer seems to be too good to be true it probably is. The package arrived with a single 100' ft. role.

This scare tape is only 3/4" instead of 2" like the other ones and it looks like is not doing anything to deter the birds. There were birds sitting next to the tape biting the fruits. I have bought 2" scare tapes in the past and they work much better.
