Simple and easy to use.
Got these for my father. Just remember that since the "slots" are the microphone, it helps to have them pointed at and close to the person talking. Nothing life changing but it helped. Best conversation I have had with him in a long time...

These are wonderful, got them for my mom, her tv would be on full volume day and night and now she can here it just on 20 volume. when it said extra loud, they ment it. would recommend to anyone with a bad hearing problem.

Good little amplifier, just need to buy another pair of noise canceling ear phones. This unit is better than the $300 kind.

Some words to the wise about hearing "amplifiers".
So far, a bit better and a bit less fragile than the Magic Ear but still too soon to arrive at any conclusions. Best advice to share about this and other hearing "amplifiers" : If an extended warranty is offered for the product, by all means invest the few extra dollars and get it. It could save you more than a few dollars and a lot of unnecessary grief later.
