I played this several months ago with my friends. We laughed so hard we were crying. So I needed this game for another gathering of friends.
Super fun game and I found it here before the big A started selling it!
We played this game several times during the Memorial Day weekend. I was so glad we did. The game is funny when the responses are read. I love voting for the one that I think was the funniest. The set-up card is read and each person is dealt 7 punch line cards. Each player lays a punch line card of their choice face down and the reader will shuffle the cards. He will read the set up card again. Then he will read each of the punch line cards and the players pick the one they think is the funniest. That player keep that card and that is counted as a point. You will be doing some serious laughing and we all need to do that.
My girls loved playing this. It was clean enough they didn't get embrassed, but it was adult even they loved getting to play. It's an easy game to learn to play. And it was fun for several different ages. We had teens and adults. So if you are looking for a fun game for a game night with friends, check out this game.
Fun, clean game
Our family loves playing Relative Insan!ty 2nd Generat!on. We were fans of the original game so it was good to see a new version with brand new setup and punchline cards. If you played and enjoyed the original I believe you will find 2nd Generat!on just as fun or more. Lots of laughs ensue everytime we play this game and it is definitely one of our "go-to" games when we have friends or family over for game night. Our family likes to crank up the humor a bit by using real names of our family members in place of terms like Grandpa, Grandma, Dad, Mom, Brother and Sister where we think it is appropriate. Thank you Jeff Foxworthy for making a sequel to the original!
We were gifted Relative Insanity 2nd Generation for a fun, family game night. The game includes rules, 100 Set Up cards and 400 Punch Line cards. We played for about an hour and had lots of laughs while playing this fun card game. If you enjoy playing Apples to Apples, this is an entertaining version of that type of game. There's no real competition, except to be the funniest and most creative answer. We love the small, sturdy box that can easily be packed along for fun on the go. Definitely recommend this game for a quick and easy, hilarious card game!
Relative Insanity is a fun game to play in a larger group (at least 4 people). It is especially funny to play in a family setting but can be played with any other teens or adults. It is very similar to Apples to Apples so if you are familiar with that you will pick it up especially quick. It is especially great if you are a fan of Jeff Foxworthy and his comedy.
I would describe this game as a mix between Apples-to-Apples and Cards Against Humanity. It's definitely more kid-friendly than Cards Against Humanity, but a little more mature than Apples to Apples. I found that the game is more fun if you are playing with folks that you know well and that have a similar sense of humor. We played for about half an hour and had some good laughs, but it's probably not something that I'd want to play for hours on end. The game box itself is good quality, and I like that the cards come with nice, sturdy plastic holders. This keeps all the cards from scattering around in the box.
This was a unique twist on other similar style of games that play the same. Everyone playing had a few great rounds but sometimes we felt that cards where so specific many round were duds because no-one had a good card to play. This is definitely a great game for those groups that want to be a little edgier for those comical laughs but don't want to very adult themes that other similar card games bring. This game definitely has some replay value from party to party but not something we wanted to play again right away.
