We needed a water container that was a little smaller and took up less room in the vehicle than our 6 gallon ones but still wanted one with dispensing capability. Size is right, capacity is right, nozzle is right...we will see how good the longevity is.
I especially like these water carriers because of the design of the hidden tap. It makes pouring water a lot easier. The folding handle allows the container to stack for storage and the 2.5 gallon capacity makes it easier to carry vs. the 5 gallon. This is my 4th one albeit the most expensive as the price nearly doubled in the years since my last purchase. Since I have a well and no power means no water, I always keep a stash of water especially during hurricane season.
perfect size for watering my plants, east to carry %26 not too heavy. Bought it in case our power went out during the snow %26 ice storm, but didnt this time but glad to have it on hand!
We orinally ordered a different brand and it was a lot bigger, 6 gallons. We decided to return and order this 2 1/2 gallon jugs for our van build. So glad we did!
seems very durable I like how compact it is and that the spigot stores in the container. I haven't had any leaks. and it store a good amount of water.p
This container is a good size if you cannot lift heavyweight. It weighs about 20 pounds at the 2 1/2 gallon mark. I haven't used this very long. I just sanitized it and filled it up today. I do have two issues I have with container: 1. Once you remove the spout from inside the container and take the sticker off outside cap, there is no way to cover the part of the spout that is exposed through this screw on cap with it stored inside the container. Right now I've got a piece of plastic wrap, rolled up and put inside it. 2. I am guessing the little red “cap” on the back is some sort of vent cap for making pouring easier. However, I cannot figure out how to get it off. I cannot unscrew it and I can't pull it out. There are no instructions that I noticed on the bottle. I did not want to force it, so I sanitized the container and rinsed it without any vent. As I sanitized the spout along with the container, without being able to release that vent, the water did not pour out smoothly. So far, other than the two issues above, I am pleased with this container and the size .
Great option for my application needing to fit into a tight space. Though it is rigid, it does have a vent plug that may leak slowly if left tipped over.
The only problem we had with the order is the measurement in the description - the height is closer to 13" not 10" (which is the width) .
I never got a chance to use this bottle because it had a hairline crack that I did not see until I filled it with water - and leaked water all over my floor over the next few hours. The design is..okay, IF one is reasonably strong, because it puts all the weight of the water on the center base of the bottle, instead of spreading it out a little, making it feel heavier, in my personal opinion, than 2 and a half gallons of water should feel when carried. I gave it a few stars anyway because my cracked bottle is likely a rare exception to the norm and other features, like the well-made lid, of a standard size that can be used with other water containers and its stackable square shape.
I received this product with large dents in it. Not useable dents caused leaks. The box the product came was perfect no sign of damage which means the product was put in the box to ship already damaged.
