exactly what I expected for shaver. (former Remington user.) purchased on-line. disappointed could not find in retail store. (old fashioned shopper?!?).
I am so happy w/ my pf 7600 that I ordered the f5 when I ordered a new head for the 7600. They use the same head and both shavers give a good comfortable shave.
I have used Remington shavers for about 30 years from the original Micro Screen up to this new model. Screens used to last me a year or two but the last one and this new one which I bought Nov. 26, 2016 just over 60 days ago is already developing a hole in the screen. That was about the life I got out of my previous Pivot Flex shaver heads. You recommend replacing the head every 12 months. How do I get more than 3 months from my heads? Cannot find new heads in stores. The shave is better than my previous Pivot Flex shaver. The screen guard is useless as it won't stay on when traveling leaving the screen prone to damage.
The motor is advertised as quiet but it is actually somewhat loud. The cover is tricky to remove without pulling out the cutters. Other than that, the 7500 gives a good shave and is easy to hold and to clean. It works well as a travel shaver or home shaver. I plan to use this one a long time.
Purchased this razor to replace my old DA 307. Replacement cutters were expensive and since it did not hold change very well it was time to replace it. New F5 is quiet, ado goes a long time on a charge. Not sure about the center cutter, need to be careful around your upper lip. I purchased a spare cutter at the same time. When shaving the upper lip. it seems like the blade is dull. Have to shave sideways or down. Will have to try new blade to see if it works better. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I've purchased 4 Remington razors since my first Remington, the MS290. I have been disappointed with each one since my MS290. You would think the newer models would continue to improve on how close a shave you get - isn't that why we use shavers. However every model I've purchased since the MS290, does not give as close a shave. It's difficult to believe a 20 year old shaver continues to outperform their newer models. I've rated the F5 as average. The battery lasts a long time - that's the best i can say about this razor.
Good product; wish the blade replacements did not cost almost as much as the entire razor. Wonder who buys the replacement blades.
The blades and trimmer seem to be of lower quality. The blades continuously pop off when I clean them. The trimmer seems very flimsy. The same trimmer broke on my last razor.
I bought this razor a couple of months ago and was very pleased with it at first. Recently, however, I noticed it was very noisy and not shaving as closely as before. That was when I noticed that the cause of this is that the part of the head that holds the foil and snaps on over the blades was partially popping off when I was shaving. I have to squeeze the sides together to get it to stay on and, needless to say, it's a nuisance to shave. I bought this razor because I sometimes just don't have the time to wet shave and to have something to take with me to work so I can touch up places on my face where my beard grows really fast. Until this problem with part of the head trying to pop off started, I was very pleased with the razor, but for this to start after only a couple of months is ridiculous. I can't return the razor to the vendor for a refund because it's been over 30 days. The razor is under the manufacturer's warranty, however, so I'm returning it, hopefully for a full refund. I rather expect, however, that Remington will just offer to replace it. I don't want another one that's probably going to do the same thing, though. I just want my money back. VERY disappointed in this product.
I've always used Remington electric shavers, for the past 30 years. Why did you insert the middle row of mini-clippers, vice staying with 100% foil? Those new mini-clippers provide mini-cuts along my lips. It also causes more irritation on my face. I'm not sure how much longer I can use this "new and improved" design. Please go back to the 100% foil head design.
