I bought this for my boyfriend to replace the one he had previously. He was really impressed. He's been using it for over a month and he said he hasn't had to charge it yet. The titanium blade was also a big selling point for him. it was the only one I could find that had the titanium blade. Besides being impressed by the charging life, the recipient of this gift said the shave is even closer than his last razor, which he really liked until it stopped holding a charge. He said I did well.
had an old Reminton 950-R needed to upgrade. Reviews said this was a good one. Ordered, got it, opened box, fell out and scattered over the floor. So be careful when you open it. after I got it reassembled it worked, and it seemed to work well. Close shave, easy to operate. Set it up to get a full charge and here we are.

This replaces a PR1320 I have had for more than a year and which had poor runtime and horrendous power management. I had attempted to buy a SKU: PR1260BXLP R5 Lithium Power Series Rotary Shaver - a dry shaver, which I have found, work better, have mor RPM, than Wet ones. Plus, the PR1260 could be used "cord/cordless". I did not notice the fine print at the bottom of the page saying it is unavailable, so I now have this. So far, it is working. I will see, as the blades wear down.
I haven't used this razor only once it did a good job. Maybe a bit better then my old Remington AQ7 which this was to replace as my old one wouldn't take a good charge. While I was waiting for the new one I cleaned the contacts in the charger base and disconnected and reconnected all the connections and now it's charging again so I'm still using the old one when it starts pulling and needing a new head I'll clean it up change the head and put it away as aspare and start using the new one.
The shaver is great however the power adapter is disappointing. The wire is stiff and very light. The transformer protrudes out from the wall quite a bit. My previous shaver, a Remington, had a transformer that hugged the wall and a coiled cord made of stranded wire so it could be pulled out to use and would retract when finished. Everything was very neat and orderly. This cord seems to always be in the way.
I recently ordered the R5000 shaver (PR1362C), which had previously been a cord/cordless model, meaning that it would operate while being charged. This was especially important to me, because I have had the battery die during a shave and it was easy to simply plug in the shaver and immediately complete the shave. Without this capability, I would have to wait for the shaver to charge before completing the shave (which could take a while, depending upon the condition of the battery) and could be late for an appointment, train, plane, etc. Unfortunately, Remington decided remove the corded shaving capability in a recent "upgrade" and appears to be discontinuing its cord/cordless models altogether, despite having a wide variety of existing and new cordless models. The PR1362B and early versions of the PR1362C were cord/cordless models, so if you're thinking of getting another R5000 Series shaver because you liked your old one, be sure to check with Remington to make sure you're getting what you expect. Fortunately, I was able to return the R5000 Series PR1362C in exchange for a cord/cordless model that was still in stock (not sure for how much longer). Since the R5000 Series (PR1362) is no longer advertised as being cord/cordless, I will give it 3 stars, since I am fairly confident it will operate fine in cordless mode, but I am disappointed that Remington has made this change and appears to be phasing out it's cord/cordless model.
It's just ok. Thought the titanium blades would be better than my old shaver but it's not. And they didn't make replacement parts for the old one.
It does not get all the hairs. It misses a lot. Leaves scratch marks on neck
the unit died while being used and will not restart- it will not take a charge at all- I must return it to Remington-it is also very difficult to keep clean
