Remington Virtually Indestructible Haircut & Beard Trimmer 15-piece Kit, Yellow, HC5855

This is my second one, first one did not break even after years of use. Super easy to clean. Stupidly left it behind when I moved. Great product I would recommend to anyone. 0 starts for battery life simply due to not using batteries.

I've used this type of Remington for a long time. This one is expensive compared to similar models. It's smaller in the hand and is hot by the end of my buzz cut. It vibrates more than previous models yet feels good on scalp and cuts good. This one is 38 and the kids model is 25. The only 2 models that don't have a weird control arm near the cutter. It's not as good as old models, although ok. Older models recently 18, these 38.

Love this trimmer. No adjustments come very sharp. Great color and nicely built. Keep in mind I wouldn't use it for the hair trade but personal use only . I use it for hair and body maintenance and not for detailed beard or hair cutting . I have owned one I dropped and it did break also .

I own a hair studio for men and women so when I received this I was skepticle as to whether I would take it into work or leave it here for light home use. I decided to give it the professional test so I took it to work. Out of every 10 clients, 4 are men so I figured I would get a great feeling for this in a few hours. I put my other professional shears away and only used the Remington...Let me tell you, I am quite impressed. I love the high tech look and color. It is not cordless but the cord is not an issue to me. It has a variety of different accessories, allowing you to get as far away from the scalp or as close to the scalp. It also comes with a high quality beard brush which I love. Another plus about this razor is that it is extremeley quiet. I really like that feature. It is light weight and easy to use in your hand. I still use an edger for cleaning up the hairline and tight places. You will not go wrong with this product. High quality at a great price.

When I first got married my husband and I decided we needed to save money. So, we were trying to figure out what would be the best way to do that. We came to the conclusion that my husband's routine haircuts were an expense we could forego. I am NOT a hair stylist by any means, but I thought I could undergo this challenge. I have been VERY successful with cutting his hair. The clipper set we have been using for the past 10+ years was starting to pull my husband's hair and make some weird sounds. So, we decided to try this one out. Well, this clipper set is AMAZING!! It has so many attachments. My husband was in awe of all the pieces that this set comes with. It also has a storage bag to keep all the accessories in. It is a snug fit, but it fits. When I cut my husband's hair this weekend it just breezed right through. My husband had to comment on how nice it was not to have his hair pulled while getting it cut. It cut real smooth. We were VERY impressed with these clippers. It is also much more light weight than the clipper set that we need to throw in the garbage. WE LOVE these clippers.

This Remington Hair clipper is small and light weight and it totally gets the job done. It comes with a handy zippered bag to put all the accessories in it comes with a 1/16" . 1/8", 1/4" 3/8" 1/2" 5/8" 3/4" , and a 1" blade attachments. It also comes with a comb, a little bottle of oil for cleaning and a brush. It is very easy to use the because of its size it makes it easier to get to all the necessary spots. This hair cut kit gets all AAA in my book because it is super easy to use especially when you have a squirming toddler and you have about 5 minutes before they bolt. The cord is nice and long which is wonderful especially when you have a squirming toddler and you need to the extra length to maneuver. Another thing I like about this hair cut kit and my husband as well is that is not very noisy which was great for our son because it did not freak him out when we turned it on. The vibration of it once turned on is not too intense either nice smooth hum. We really like it, its kid friendly and if a toddler will tolerate it, it will do just fine with the big boys.

The Remington Virtually Indestructible Haircut Trimmer is very well engineered. The trimmer casing is made from a high-impact polycarbonate material. A super magnet motor provides plenty of power. The trimmer has a self aligning blade system which ensures clean, snag free cutting of the hair. The kit includes a set of length adjusting snap on combs, beard brush, a styling comb, blade oil, a blade guard and a very nice storage pouch. The trimmer has an 8 foot heavy duty power cord. The only control is the power “On-Off” switch. I plugged the trimmer power cord into the wall socket and turned on the power switch. The trimmer is very quiet. Being a novice hair trimmer and not wanting to trim the hair too close, I started with the 1 inch length snap on comb & gave it try. I was barely cutting any hair at all. I got a little braver and replaced the 1 inch snap on comb with a ¾ inch snap on comb & carefully tried it again. It cut a little hair this time. I worked my way around trimming what could be cut. Then I replaced the ¾ inch snap on comb with a ½ inch snap on comb & carefully worked my way around. Learning to contour the cut took a little doing, but I started to learn how. I then replaced the ½ inch snap on comb with the 1/8 inch snap on comb and did the neck trimming. The neck trimming went well. My assessment is that the Remington Virtually Indestructible Haircut Trimmer will be very useful for trimming hair between professional haircuts. With a lot of practice it could completely replace the professional haircut. I received this device free of charge for use and review.

My previous virtually indestructible trimmer, self destructed after a few years of use. The motor just quit on it. Not knowing that the original (long gone) box said that it comes with a lifetime warranty, I decided to take it apart to see if I could fix it…I could not. There are no user serviceable parts inside. So I trashed it and bought a new one. It's a good trimmer, that's why a bought a new one. Hopefully, this one will last.
