My first experience with solar and it was easy! We dry camp a lot and always needed to use the generator to recharge the house batteries that power our 2000W inverter. Knowing we may need more power down the road, we opted for the 40A option of the 200W starter kit and are glad we did. We added 2 more 100W panels the following week. Everything works as stated and the specs seem spot on so far. We mainly only need the generator for powering the air conditioning now. Our recharge from the solar kit is enough to keep the fridge and LCD TVs going.
Arrived on time and well packed. The panel charges with the controler even when not in direct sunlight.
These are great for off the grid camping, I hardly every have to run the Generator, unless I want/need 110 Volt
this setup is powering a vintage Kit Companion trailer, replacing the 35 year old Siemens system. easy install, plug %26 play, everything tests out great.
easy to install if you have general knowledge. seems to be a great setup so far. nice product
not much to dislike all good so far
Shipped nicely and on time. No damage or issues connecting. No complaints.
This Renogy starter kit is a good way to get an introduction to solar. I found the purchase easy and delivery fast. Installation was not difficult even for a novice like me. I use the system to power an out building on my property primarily for lights and charging my battery power tools, yard tools, and a golf cart. Works great for my purposes.
Easy set up, works well to keep my deep cycle battery topped off for camping.
The charge controller is a great product. Well engineered and very user friendly. The panels are effective but on the cheaper side. For a starter solar setup, these are pretty good. Since they didn't cost much, upgrading the panels in the future would be easy. Accesories (cables, remote, mounting hardware, etc) are excellent.
