Renogy is a name we trust. We've used Renogy stuff for years and LOVE Renogy. I had no fear ordering this micro solar controller. I am using it with a 50 watt panel so NO problem. Bear in mind you will need to wire this controller yourself. It's not particularly complicated but you MUST pay attention to ALL the details. We decided to use MC4 connectors for the wiring job. If you do, too, you will need an MC4 crimping tool. Pay CLOSE attention to the teeny, tiny so-called manual. I'd recommend reading it twice. If you're using genuine photovoltaic cable, beware that 12AWG is the largest gauge that will fit into the controller wiring ports. I used Home Depot, off-the-shelf 10AWG and they just barely fit. Be sure to match your battery type with the digital screen prompts. This controller will NOT work with LiFePo batteries. It WILL work with AGM but you must select "GEL" for your choice. The unit works just fine. I tested it for a couple of days in full sunlight. NO problems. Bear in mind you will probably want to mount the unit in such a way as to suit your application. I am thinking about buying another one "just because". I have NO problems recommending this unit mainly because it's a Renogy and their quality control is top notch.

The unit appears as advertised, and appears to operate as indicated. I've used it to charge a deep cycle marine flooded battery with 3 older 15w panels, and have used the battery with an inverter to charge a cordless angle grinder, run a radio, and a fan, in the barn. At only 10 amps this is a good charge controller for small starter systems.

Got this for my system… that uses a LiFePO4 battery. Renogy has 2 listings on here for this charge controller: one that supports LiFePO4 %26 one that doesn't. Unfortunately, I ordered the latter. My fault for not initially saving the correct charge controller/double-checking, but I wish the listings were more clear as to which one you're getting!

Easy install, how to use is not well documented

Charge (Manage) function does not provide Low Voltage Cutoff.

Worked fine with my lead acid batteries. Completely failed with my LiFePo4 lithum battery. These say ok for lithium. I disagree
