This is an amazing battery for solar systems. In my opinion this is the pinnacle of Hybrid GEL batteries. This battery is a sealed, valve regulated deep cycle. That means I have no worries when it comes to venting and gassing when it charges. It can handle 750 charge/discharge cycles at a 50% depth of discharge. I also like the fact that it does not have to be upright. This battery excels in slow discharge rates and at slightly higher ambient temperatures. Thats important in the Florida heat. Since this battery is a Hybrid GEL it has an improved cycle life and performance at cold ambient temperatures as well. The number of deep discharge cycles is increased considerably when compared with normal AGM batteries. I own three of the Renogy AGM batteries also and this is a welcome addition to my solar system.
It's a gelled AGM battery from a respected manufacturer. The price was less than the two flooded deep discharge batteries it replaces. No required maintenance is a huge plus because this is a backup for a mountain top repeater.
I have four of these connected to 300 watts of solar power and a 2000 Watt Renogy inverter that runs my refrigerator, TV, DVD player, stereo, microwave, instant pot, toaster oven and air fryer and charges my laptop and phone. I'm very happy with my Renogy products and highly recommend them.
Great battery for my off grid system I have 9, 100watt panels hooked to 6 ,100 ah gell batteries to a 3000 watt Renogy inverter. System works great. Thanks Renogy. .
We are using this battery for a 55lb trolling motor. It has been excellent. We use a charger that is specifically made for charging a gel battery. If treated properly, this battery should last for a long time. Please do your research because gel batteries require special chargers. This is not an AGM battery and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Our first gel batteries lasted over 15 years.
I looked up reviews on several RV sites when I needed to replace my "house" battery for my travel trailer. The Renogy had good reviews. I liked the idea of gel, in that my last battery went dry and I forgot/didn't bother to check the water. Anyway....the battery was shipped right to my home at no charge. It already had a charge, but I topped it off to 100%, hooked it up, and it worked great on my last camping trip. The only disadvantage it that it's so dang heavy!
The battery came fully charged and works perfectly with my 100 watt system.
Works great. Added a third one to my unit. Can run the whole rig with no problem now.
Durable battery and grateful for the carrying strap. Also nice to have the positive and negative battery terminal covers.
Battery is fine. Would work better if you had shipped the wires to the charge controller I also ordered and never received and had to cancel
