The 160 watt flexible monocrystalline panel is perfect for our sailboat. At only 6 lbs it mounted nicely on the canvas cover over the cockpit. It performed as specs said. Full sun producing 8A, and an incremental decrease in output based on the portion of the panel that had shade. Excellent product. I wired it in parallel with other solar panels for a total of 20A. I had to get creative for mounting it, I had to sew velco to the solar panel edges to attach it to the canvas cover. It would be great if there was at least an inch all around the panel for alternate type of mounting.

Work beautifully on our trailer

We have 2 160 watt panels with a 100 watt. Unless you get above the trailer, you would never know we had Solar. Helps keep the overall look of our Retro trailer. We started with a 160 watt panel kit and a 20 Amp Adventurer controller. I am updating to a Rover 30 Amp MPPT controller and a BT-2 to monitor and control via Bluetooth.

We only got two for our cabin and we love moving them around to catch the sun. We have them on the side of the house rather than the roof. Also, they love the snow and with the reflection of the sun from the snow, we can't get our battery under 100% even though we are charging all we want, like multiple phones and a portable DVD. It's real easy too, to take them down and bring the whole system with you for a camping trip. We just screwed them up rather than try and paste them, that way we can move them as needed.

Years ago I purchased 2 - 100W flexible solar panels. I have replaced them with this 160W. The 160 W appears to be much more durable and the warrantee much better. It was easy to install and had the same fitting/connections as the previous panels. Life is great and I will only need the one panel on the boat to keep everything charged. Thanks John

I like the 160 watt solar panel that I recently purchased. I would have preferred if it had holes in the corners for tie downs but there were none with holes available at the time of purchase. Nothing a drill couldn't fix. The delivery went on schedule and the panel appears to be working well.

I was disappointed when I noticed the panel did not have any attachment grommet holes. I also failed to notice that the wiring is done on the front of the panel rather than the rear which causes a problem for me since my application is not a roof mount but rather a portable solar panel for which I will be building a pvc frame. On the positive side, it looks extremely durable. I can not review its performance as I have not made all my connections yet.

No mounting holes in panel. Relying on mounting tape to hold. Mc4 had broken clip but renogy sent mc4 to repair.

Lines appear on backside.

Joe November 14, 2018

It works great.. but I returned it.. I personally didn't think this was a quality item.. only after a day of testing I noticed lines on the back of the panels.. it's heat lines from the plastic part that doesn't have the panels.. this was not a good thing.. I didn't trust it to last and returned it.. I ordered rigid panels.
