These seem like they would work great for the curved roof of an airstream. They might also be useful on a home roof that had a less than optimum angle ... I'm just wondering why are they called "flat roof"?

Arrived as described in the literature. Stout, good fit and finish with excellent hardware.

The install using the tilt mounts worked well. It allowed me to mount the panels at approximately 30 degrees overall on my 6:12 slope roof.

The panels themselves are structurally sound. However I have two major gripes with the mounts. First and foremost, the hardware to attach the panels to the mounts are very low integrity. I followed the installation instructions exactly and tightened al hardware to the required specs using a torque wrench. Two of the nuts loosened themselves after one day of driving. I can only do 65 mph in my van, so I can't believe this product is serious. That's a safety hazard to me, my family, and everyone on the road with me. Luckily I had a set of competent nuts and bolts in my toolbox (which have worked with zero issues for a while). Secondly, do not be fooled that these are adjustable. Unless you're going to hop up on your roof and disassemble and assemble the whole system every time you want to angle your panels, get something else. To be honest, I'm very disappointed.
