The unit is powered by the battery up to 48v. You have to supply your own "network" cables. Easy to setup. I have 5 items connected to the unit and all show up on the DC home app.

It's great to be able to tie all the components into 1 Bluetooth module

I like the idea of this hub that allows me to connect all my devices to one Bluetooth unit. The only issue is that it takes extra work to wire stuff up if they are not close to each other. In my situation my controller is away from my inverter and closer to the batteries. It works flawlessly as described and performs as designed. I like being able to get information about what is going on with my solar components.

Works well, but Renogy' inconsistent standards for communications are confusing. Bought this hoping to tie together a system(2 batteries, a 40a charge controller and a charger/inverter), but as it turns out it's almost useless since the charge controllers don't work with it. It's marketed as a way to bridge multiple devices, but most (it not all) of the charge controllers are not rj-45, but rj-12. Most all of the charger inverters have no communication ability. I guess it's my fault for not double checking the communication interface, but marketing something like this when there are multiple protocols makes it much less useful. Now I have a comm bridge that I have no use for.
