This controller is the exact replacement for the original installed on the Renogy 100w Eclipse folding solar panel, which is now a "plug & play" upgrade. Easy to install and worked instantly; however, it was the solar panel's wiring causing the problem, not the controller. Called Renogy and had it returned for a full refund.

This Compact 10 amp Renogy Wanderer Charge Controller is an Excellent choice for small Off Grid Systems. The unit has a 12 volt Load feature that makes it nice to easily turn LED light strips on %26 off with the push of a button. The blue backlit LCD screen on the unit shows all of it's functions like PV, Battery %26 State of charge voltage %26 is easily programmable for various types of batteries. The connection terminals will accept up to 12 gauge wire. I would rate this unit Best Value for the money %26 operate 2 of them on 2 small solar panels for lighting %26 to maintain batteries in vehicles %26 lawn equipment.

Very small unit that fit well in my small space. Easy to program and works great!

Right out of the box, no programming needed, connect 6 wires (3 pairs of positive/negative) and the device is running flawlessly. I'm thinking I might get a 20 A and a 30 A.

I already had one and left it out in the rain on accident so this was a exact replacement and works perfectly for my setup

The Wanderer Charge Controller is a cool compact little controller. The tech literature doesn't specify what the max load current is , however. It does a good job of protecting itself though, when I hooked up too large of a load, it just tripped off,

This controller is doing a great job on my sailboat keeping a gr. 27 deep cycle battery charged with the a 50 watt flexible solar panel. However, I find the terminal connections too light to hold 12ga wire securely and plan to replace this controller with the waterproof Voyager. The Voyager unit has traditional screw-down terminals and appears much more suitable for marine use. I'm impressed with the Wanderers performance but the light terminal connectors are a drawback in a dynamic environment.

My controller displays E01 error. The manual names the error however does not provide a solution. Found YouTube video and followed those instructions. Removed battery and charged to 11v then reinstall per Renogy video instructions. Error was gone and battery charging. Put load on through the controller during night. E01 error back on next day with 2.8A charging. Not sure what issue is. Not sure if bad controller or installation error. I know battery will charger and hold charge. My purpose in writing the review is to ask Renogy to update the manual with possible solutions to error codes. I'll call the to see if they have a solution.

The item has not shipped yet. It hasn't been delivered to the USPS for shipping even though the shipping label was created 3 days ago. Also, in searching anew for this product, which Walmart prices at $18.99, I found it for $16.99 on Amazon and $14.99 at Home Depot. (I should have done more research before buying from Walmart.)

Takes a very long time to charge batteries, even in direct sunlight drains batteries too fast not a good product
