Replacement Canister Catch Button Release Clip for Dyson DC41 DC43 DC55 DC65 Cyclone

Bought this to replace the original piece on my Dyson Ball Animal (D65) from 2014. I did need to use the spring from a pen that I had to make it work correctly, but that could be because I lost the original when it broke. Now it works great! It's a brighter red than the original, but happy it is working well.

This worked out for me. I broke mine and I took my vac to a repair shop and had it cleaned and they installed the new part at no charge. I didn't think to ask but they probably would have charged me more if I had bought the part from them.

Exactly what I was looking for to fix my vacuum. Very easy and convenient with walmart easy to follow to the web page.

It works, but not like the original piece.

This is not the right clip for a Dyson V8 canister. Does not fit.

There were no instructions on how to remove the old broken part with the spring. We ended up having to order (elsewhere) a whole new Dyson canister.

This product is much thinner and more flexible than the original and as a result isn't strong enough to press down and open the canister dumping mechanism, the latch simply flexes and slides off the portion connected to the canister.
