Replacement belt for Hoover Elite vacuum
I am reviewing belts for an old Hoover Legacy Elite vacuum. I was afraid this belt would snap as the last one I ordered did. So far it's working nicely. This Hoover vacuum is older than dirt and has always been loud. It works well for a second vacuum. I have another that I use for cleaning when I work for other people. The belt is doing what it is supposed to do and I'm grateful for that. It saves hauling my new vacuum up the steps. Assembly is easy, takes no time at all.

The price is right. At first I did not think it was going to fit but after watching a video, I realized you have to stretch it over the shaft.

Incorrect description
The item description specifically says that these 38528-040 belts replace the 38528-027 belts. That is absolutely not true! My Hoover vacuum takes the 38528-027 belt but the belts that were shipped to me were only half as long by several inches! There is absolutely no way that these 38528-040 belts replace the 38528-027 belt, so basically, I threw my money away.
