my rescued baby turtle. Charlie, needed the kind of light this unit provided to keep his shell and other parts healthy. this light tightly clamped onto anything or place it was put. I know Charlie loved it. Whenever I turned it on I loved watching Charlie bask in the warmth of the light. often extending his legs behind himself, and they stayed up in the air for the longest time! He started trying to greet the light when he saw me getting it in place to turn on. The flexible metal neck was adjustable for odd angles. The switch had a wheel style dimmer adjustment attached low on the cord. the cord was good and long too. this was a good purchase and worth the low price. I DO recommend this lamp. (and it came with 2 different bulbs, not just 1!) (Charlie has since been moved to a turtle habitat to learn how to be a survivor. He is safe and in expert hands.)

Finally a light that works included light bulb and easy to use. One turn on off and it is very good for the turtle.

Using this to keep an outside dog house warm for the outdoor cats. Keeps it from being freezing at least. Not super warm but definitely better than the single digits it's been lately.

it seems like a good product but the cord is super short. I had to gwt an extension cord just for it to reach the top of our terrarium

Worked good for about 6 months then went out.

In my opinion, these heat lamps don't last much... maybe 12 to 48 hrs. The 25/50 watt bulbs get so hot that they burn the socket itself, and returning them is too much of a hassle. They are also a fire hazard. I don't recommend these at all, but if you decide to buy one anyway, good luck!

this lamp arrived without the usual instructions and cover over the plug. it comes with a bulb installed and one in a box. the bulb lasted maybe 2 full days. The cord is only 3.5' long and too short to reach location needed without extension cord. After first bulb burned out so quickly I read instructions on line feom a non WalMart site and believe there could be issues with currency flow that could cause bulbs to burn up. For these reasons it is not the rignt product for my needs.
