Both kids like it!

Sesber March 24, 2019

Cool toy. I wasn't sure what to expect when I received this, but both my kids were so interested in it that they actually took turns inspecting and playing with it. My daughter, who is three, has been playing with her almost everyday. She especially likes the “chomp chomp” claw thing as she calls it. She has a hard time getting the helmet and flippers off, but I think it's good dexterity practice. My son, who is four and harder to entertain with toys, actually wanted to mess around with it! That's a five star right there, because I didn't expect him to be interested in it. Overall I'd say Sandy O'Shin is a neat toy, one that separates itself from the typical licensed characters and whatnot. Would definitely be a great gift! fun to play

carebear7381 April 1, 2019

my daughter love this toy! she was so happy when I gave her this toy. it is very colorful and is fun and cool to play with it. It comes with a removable flippers, scuba gear, and underwater grabbing tool. I can't forget the look on my 3 year old's daughter when i pressed the button and the grabbing tool moved. it was priceless. She loves playing with it especially during bath time in the tub. I like that it is waterproof so you can play with it in the water. Also the removable parts are very easy to assemble on the figure. Overall, it is a cool toy and perfect as a gift to kids 3 years old and above. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great toy

MommyGuz07 March 26, 2019

My children love this toy! My daughter loves how colorful it is. She especially loves that it's a girl hero. My son also loves that it's a girl hero. They love her tools- the grabber and flippers. I've actually heard them fighting for it because they both "need her" for their adventure. They love that she goes on underwater adventures, I love that it's durable to withstand their play. And I love the representation it gives- girls want to be adventurers too! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Vast Improvement.

cody6268 January 13, 2020

I grew up with the original series of figures. I had several, well I think most of the ones they made, both male and female. I was quite surprised to hear the line had been reintroduced in 2019, and immediately when I saw the line, the first one I knew had to pick up was Sandy, and I did as soon as I saw her locally. One, because females weren't rather well covered in the original line (there were only three in the original line: Wendy Waters, Ariel Flyer, and Maureen Biologist, the last of which being very hard to find), and because she's a red head, I guess. Sandy herself: She is exactly the same scale as the older figures (6"). She is not as bulky as the old figures were, and weighs slightly less. The plastic is definitely more durable. The older figures were of a harder, shiny plastic that tended to crack, usually around the attachment for the pack, or areas where joints in the body were. She is made out of a softer feeling, slightly flexible plastic. While the elbow joints on the older figures used a large, visible metal pin, it seems to be hidden on these figures, which improves their appearance immensely. Hair seems to be molded onto the head out of a different kind of plastic--it should not wear like the painted hair did on my old Ariel Flyer. I am not really sure what to say about the Imaginext-inspired caricature appearance these newer figures have. The pack attachement design has changed little from the older figures. It has been made somewhat of a lower profile, and nearly halved in size, but it still sticks out too much, preventing the figures from properly being laid on their backs. But, I doubt any other design could be used here, given this is a preschool toy. Anything else would either break or result in the pack always falling off. This design holds better, and is much stronger than the older pack attachment point. Now, onto her accessories. Unlike older figures, such as Gil Gripper (whom I seem to always compare her with--he was also a diver), her flippers are removable, as opposed to being molded as a part of the foot. It improves apperance, and play value. Except, they do seem to come off quite easily. Thus, I'm sure a kid (like I did with so many small acessories) will lose them. She has a large SCUBA apparatus, which comprises of a large face shield/mask, propulsion system, and gripper. It is a scaled-up version of an accessory introduced in the Imaginext line. A bit big and clunky to me, but so were most Rescue Heroes accessories, even when I was a kid. . The gripper function can support another Rescue Heroes figure just fine, if she is supported by hand. The gripping action does not seem as strong, or as smooth as those included with the packs that were included alongside my older figures. I personally find she is greatly improved over older Rescue Heroes figures, in appearance, functionality, and play value. I would like to see Mattel expand the line, reintroducing more characters from the original series, and possibly having less "chunky" looking versions of the characters in the "True Moves" line. I seem to recall having seen 10" figures with fabric coats and gear in the original line at one point. The figure herself. She

This toy was awesome. .

Britt123 March 20, 2019

We chose the girl. My son was so happy. He said she was a bath tub toy because she has rubber feet. They had a huge adventure. He loves the vibrant colors and the head gear. It came with 2 accessories so that was cool. Its well made and goes with some older similar toys. Over all my son was very very happy [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Fun and engaging toy!

RaeBee March 24, 2019

My 4 year old son is obsessed with all things ocean-related, and this was perfect for him. We loved the interactive nature of the toy, and how well he can take pieces apart and put them back together. Bonus points for the toy being a female action figure and for not being overly pink or purple. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Builds imagination

Momma bear91 March 31, 2019

This toy allows the imagination to run free. Both my daughter and son love playing with it. It's easy to use the accessories and to remove them. My kids make up their own storylines to play with the toy. Ages 6 and 3, they truly amaze me with the stories they come up with. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Lots of fun for my four-year-old daughter

CharlizesMommy1109 March 21, 2019

This is a very sturdy and well-built toy the colors are very vibrant and eye-catching my daughter had lots of fun playing with her not only in the bathtub but also alone. One of the best things is there were not a lot of small parts that could pose as a choking hazard and very easy for her to snap back together [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
