pillows are excellent: well-made, zippered removable and washable cover; adjustable firmness--overall a good buy.
They stay cool and its nice that you can remove the shredded foam to get the desired thickness of the pillow.
doesn't give me the neck support I need
These pillows are okay. They are heavy. They do flatten out when laying on them and you have to fluff them back. They do have a off smell at first but it goes away after a few days. They do try and escape your pillow cases when you lay on them :) I don't love them and I don't hate them. They are okay but would not buy them again.
I was looking for the comfort of a down pillow. Based on the reviews, I decided to give this a try. The pillow came in such a small box I thought it would hard, but it wasn't. I put it in the dryer to fluff as suggested. It worked. I didn't take any of the filling out hoping it would fluffy enough but I found it a bit hard. I'm still looking for the feel I get with down pillow like the ones in finer hotels. I can say this pillow is softer than the regular pillows in stores.
This is a Lucid pillow not a Rest Haven. It was longer and narrower than I expected. I use a king size pillowcase. A standard will not fit. I noticed reviewers complaining that their pillow would not fluff. Step one..remove the outer pillowcase so air can get to it! You need to wash that outer case anyway. Step 2..let your pillow sit for a couple hours. Step three..follow the manufacturer's suggestion of tossing it in the dryer on low for 20 minutes. The result..maximum fluffiness! So full in fact that I had to take out about half of the stuffing to find my ideal comfort. As for the chemical smell, this is something I am personally sensitive to. I did have to let my pillow air out for a full 2 weeks before the stink had dissipated into a regular foam smell. It was fine after that, but not tolerable before. My neck did have to go through an adjustment period having switched from a polyester fill pillow. That wasn't unexpected so I kept my other pillow nearby and had to switch them out regularly for the first week. The first night I only made it a couple hours before switching back to my old pillow. But now that I have adjusted to it, I do find it to be soft and comfortable (yet heavy). It's a warm pillow, not a cool one. However, I wouldn't call it hot. It doesn't conform to my every curve but is very easy to bunch under my head where I need it and will stay that way. The feel, size, and weight of this pillow kind of reminds me of a soft body pillow. I find it likeable enough to keep it. However, I think next time I will go with the cheaper type of foam (the yellow airy sponge type) contour pillow, rather than memory foam. I think I find memory foam to compress a little too dense for my comfort, even when shredded. But that is merely a personal preference.
Thought it was a pair as offered by Target for the same price. Needless to say that I'm disapointed.
These were a no go for everyone in my household...myself and two elderly parents. Two high for my mother even though I informed her she could take some of the stuffing out. Too squishy for my dad and myself. They are very nice pillows and I like that they come with a cover and you can take stuffing out to suit your preference. But memory foam is not for everyone and we did not like it. Expensive pillows too for not being used. I have put them in a large plastic garbage bag and stored them away. Maybe they will get some use some day from guests or I will find someone who likes them to give them to.
Lucid brand. Not Rest Haven. Not sure why you'd send a different brand. Just list it as Lucid from the get go. They are a bit narrow, similar to the comment about them being more tube like than pillow like.
Very hard, will order softer version
