I have used Roku for over a decade and have two Roku units installed on TV's in my home. The Roku system is the best I have used because it is not reliant on Google or Apple to operate: it is independent from the "Giants". So, when my primary television started to fail, I was thrilled to find a good quality TV with Roku built in. It has the same functionality and broad selection as my Roku plug-in's so the transition was seamless. My only complaint is the location of the volume buttons on the side of the remote: I often change the volume simply by picking up the remote. But that is a minor issue and easily overcome by being careful where you grab the remote.. Overall I have great picture in a reliable television and my Roku functionality all in one unit.
Ok so I bought this TV a few weeks ago, but because of back issues, I can't lift it, so I'm waiting for the cable guy next week.
Purchased for a gift. Very satisfied with product! Arrived on time with no damage. Definitely recommend!
Great picture, great sound. Just what I wanted for a second tv. Had it a couple weeks and so far, so good.
Has a very good picture when viewed straight-on and dims slightly from an angle but for the money, this is one terrific TV. This one replaced a 55" JVC which lasted over 10 years. IMO this is a real price performer but I would have preferred a better remote. My satellite provided remote still works OK with exception of volume control.
The product brand name (JVC) got my attention, the 2 year warrenty factory warranty reeled me in! One big draw back: an owner's manual does not come with the TV nor is it avalable to consumers via the internet. I had to CALL customer support and they had to email one to me. Still...a great deal and a quality product.
This is one of those "for the price" reviews. Picture is a little harsh, sound is quite tinny. Has decent connection options. Not much for picture adjustments. For a cheap TV, it will get the job done in non-critical applications.
After agonizing for days over reading reviews about the multitude of TVs available, I purchased a 55" TCL Series 6 QLED back in September to replace our 9 year old Samsung that shot craps. Now I needed a TV to replace a 15 year old LG plasma TV in our family room. My Sam's Club began selling JVC TVs about a month ago, and after reading the few available reviews (and the product description), I decided to purchase this 58" JVC model. We are Roku users, and I was happy with that platform on the TCL, so this was also a deciding factor. I paid almost $300 less for this JVC vs the TCL, and this is 3 inches larger. The picture quality to me seems just as good as the TCL, and the functions are nearly identical. The sound quality of the JVC is noticeably better then the TCL. There are minimal but adequate connections available on the JVC; 3 HDMI (1 ARC), 1 USB, 1 RCA audio/video, 1 LAN and a digital optical audio output. As reported on one of the reviews, there does seem to be a 1/2 inch flashlight effect area around the edge (most noticeable at the top), during different scenes, but it is not always visible, and I didn't really notice it until I started looking for it (I remembered the review). It is only noticeable during certain, high contrasting scenes. Not a deal breaker for me. For the price I find that this is a great TV with a very good picture. User interface and setup is easy, and the Roku platform is simple and very effective. The remote is small, and won't overwhelm you with extra, unnecessary functions. Plus this comes with a manufacturer two year warranty, and free 90 day return policy at Sam's Club! I would definitely recommend this TV.
Bought one and the screen was cracked, went back same day and got another and this one is great so far.
Purchased about 1 yr ago. Started having problem with images jumping or screen blurring but intermittent and I though I have 2 yr warrantee lets see if it straightens out. When it didn't and I read the warrantee, they require you to ship it to them and I pay the shipping fee which is probably close to 1/2 the cost of the item. Real ripoff. The unit is not reliable and I wish I had paid attention to the current reviews.
